Hey, I've recently come into possession of 250g of First Gold, which I've never really used before. Reading online it seems to be quite a versatile hop, which is great. Do you guys have any suggestions on what to use it in? I don't mind what style, just looking for some inspiration! Cheers, John

I'm producing pretty good beer at the moment, some better than others. I was just wondering if there's any real advantage to a 3 stage system. If not, I can always just buy more kegs....

I've been AG brewing for around 18 months now using a klarstein maischfest all in one system. I've been toying with the idea of expanding this into a 3 stage system by adding a HLT and a boil kettle either side of the current Mash Tun. My question is, is this going to increase my beer quality...

Crud on the boil plate was the culprit what this happened to me. I also had it happen when using an extension lead to connect it to the power, when I plug it straight in at the wall it works fine.

I'm fairly sure they meet at the Hanging Bat in Edinburgh each month. I've seen a few posts of FB about it.

I think you're right, my IBUs were coming in at the high 40s which I was a bit concerned about. I think I'll move the cascade to whirlpool (going to WP @ 80c for 20 mins) and see how that goes. Cheers guys!
