    12C !!! I think I'll have to find a new location as the most convenient place I was thinking of leaving it is always 20C..hope the wife doesn't mind if I dig up the kitchen to make a cellar :lol:

    :hmm: so instead of having to wait 2 odd months, your cider is good to drink after 3 days. This just sounds too good to be true..I might try me some of them.. Do you reckon there would be any change(improvement!) in taste that occurs over those few months that would be lost if reduced to 3 days?

    Thanks Trunky...just wondering..hope you dont mind a few quick questions 1.with those jonagold did you use an added yeast..i have the lallvin 1118 and youngs cider yeast. 2. Did you record the temperature of the storage area. 3. Any idea of Hydrometer readings at the start and end.. :thumb:

    HI All Could anyone recommend a good blend of store bought apple varieties for cider making. My apple tree is fecked with caterpillars. The shops seem to be full of 'gala/golden delicious/granny smith/jonagold'.. are these any good.. Ta

    Drawbacks to Freezing apple pulp?

    Hi Just wondering if you can freeze pulp (that hasn't been pressed) and throw it in with 'fresh' pulp to be pressedafter a few weeks? Ta
