    DIY Garage Kegerator Build

Thanks for the heads-up about using a Stanley knife - sounds like a no-go there. I'll hopefully get a hold of the dremel soon and give it a go and then maybe find some vinyl or similar to stick or glue over the remnants! I'm not too fussy on the looks, but if I can sort of keep the sides back as...

    DIY Garage Kegerator Build

Good job! My tall kegerator fridge can only hold 3 corny kegs at the moment. I need to remove the moulded shelf supports and a 'dremel' type tool with a cutting disc is what I was contemplating. I've managed to find a mate who has such a tool I can borrow, so I am going to give that a go soon...

    Weighing Scales for closed transfer.

@Petrolhead, that is just genius and saves me money buying a set of scales. Brilliant idea as I'm about to fill my first keg at the weekend. Thank you for that great tip athumb.. (Edited for the usual spelling errors whilst supping!)

Conditioning and carbonating in Corny Keg -process check

Thanks for the reply and that's a great idea cleverly thought out. May have a go at that when the fermentation and cold crash is done. More than one way to skin a cat as they say and there's a few methods to reach the same end and to avoid the dreaded air getting to the beer :-)

Conditioning and carbonating in Corny Keg -process check

Hi Yabezag, thanks for the very useful list which I've now copied as I've just set up my 2-keg kegerator and waiting another week or so until my lager and wherry ferment. Interesting you mention a tap on the FV as I use the usual plastic buckets and normally syphon to a bottling bucket before...

    Mulled Wine Warmer For Homebrew

I was in Lidl last night and they have a similar thing for about £60 but not sure of the spec cos I didn't have my reading glasses with me. It was huge and packaged as a jam boiler I think. I've heard it mentioned elsewhere for all grain brewing so could be worth having a look...

    Hello from Moray

Hi folks, I'm in Lossiemouth up in Moray and I've just joined the site after restarting home brewing 2 months ago. It's been a while since brewing as I used to make wine and those Prohibition liquor kits, but that was back in the mid-90's to around 2003. So after my 17 year break from it, I...
