    Malt extract

Suma | Malt Extract | 3.18 Kg = £13.74 Has anyone used this? It's way cheaper than anything else but clearly states that it can be used for beer! Is it liquid or powder...

    1 can Vs 2 can?

Just curious as to who is pimping the one can kits with extravagant ingredients and who cant be arsed, and go for the pre packed, 2 can approach? I started on the singles (because I'm tight) but soon couldn't be bothered to even find and add the extra DME and sugar to my virtual shopping cart...

    BASE FOR MILK STOUT

Just preferred it without. It's OK but feel the ballance is off. I'll stick with St Peters

    BASE FOR MILK STOUT

Just an update on the espresso and lactose. I wouldn't do it again in either one. The other thing I now know is that, controversially, I prefer the Original stout to the Irish.

    Favourite can kits?

Absolutely. tastes amazing too but mine was only 4.2% so I'll probably add some more sugar or treacle when I start my next one tonight.

    Stirring up sediment

You'll need to leave it at least a week and you will need to add more sugar to prime as most of what you've added will be fermented. just do it in a secondary or in the bottle this time.

    Which Christmas kits to try?

St Peter's cream stout is the one. Waaaay better than coopers, if you like some serious depth. Coopers is a great, light session beer for any month of the year but the cream stout is much more indulgent and perfect for Christmas. Easily as good as, if not better than anything you can get in the...

Is there a rioja kit worth making?

Hi all. I've done 4 beer kits which were outstanding and was so impressed with the kits, I'm looking to do some wine. I'm a bit sceptical but then I was about the beer and it's easily as good as my favourite beers. Are there any REALLY good kits out there? I don't want to bother if they're...

    Re: St Peters Cream Stout

Has anyone who loves this kit, found another kit on par? There's so many stouts to try!!

    Re: St Peters Cream Stout

This stout kicks coopers ass IMHO. I realise it's slightly unfair as one is half the price of the other and is a one can but the body and depth of the St Peters is another level. My next batches are both of coopers stouts with lactose and extra dark DME, so will be interesting to see how they...

What kit beer are you drinking tonight?

Just polished off my first keg of Coopers Stout and what a beaut! will be racking the St Peters cream stout after work.

    BASE FOR MILK STOUT

unfortunately I only have 500g so I can either do one at 3-500 or two at 250. Think I'll try 250 just to get a baseline for the two kits.
