    Hazy IPA please

    Carbing in a Corny Keg

Definitely the method that works perfectly for me. I read somewhere that the most important things with homebrewing were cleanliness and patience. I always find waiting a month to start a new brew after kegging is well worth the wait and with reasonable planning I never run dry ;)

    Kegging

As others have said there is a fairly large initial financial outlay for Kirby kegs but the cost is well worth it. I struggled with leaking plastic kegs and on a few occasions ended up tipping the whole batch on the garden. Since going over to Korny’s the quality of my beer is fantastic right...

What are you drinking tonight 2020.

Just started a keg of Bulldog Triple Tykes. I can already tell this isn’t going to last lockdown 😁

    Anyone used brewkegtap before

Excellent service during lockdown . Using kegs definitely improved my results. Only downside is I seem to now be suffering from top up syndrome!

    What did you brew today?

Just started brewing a Ritchies Simply Bitter kit. Used 1 Kg of Mangrove Jacks Spray malt and have some pelleted Cascade hops to add a bit later. Bit of an experiment this one but bubbling away nicely at 22.5 degrees. I have been considering using Demerara sugar for priming when it goes in the...

    ****Fermentasaurus Mega Giveaway****

The Fermentasaurus Gen 2 sarter kit looks like it could take my Homebrew to the next level. As much as anything I would enjoy watching it bubble away 😁

First effort with a Corny Keg

The main difference I found was the ease of sealing after filling and the quality of the beer right to the last drop. I have since brought another keg which is filled with Belgian IPA, very tasty. Next project is adapting a secondhand fridge to store them at a cooler temperature but not too...

    Carbing in a Corny Keg

It was the first time I had done it and actually only did it because I was waiting for the keg to arrive 😁. Just wondering whether it was a good way of reducing the chance of sediment in the keg?

    Carbing in a Corny Keg

I filled my first Corny Keg with Youngs IPA after giving it a second fermentation for a couple of weeks. Went in clear and drinkable but has really benefited from leaving at 10 psi for a fortnight. Do others use secondary fermentation or just keg it straight after the initial one? I

First effort with a Corny Keg

Following a suggestion from a discussion on the forum I got a Corny kit from BrewKegTap a couple of weeks ago. Great value and clear instructions. I watched a few YouTube videos, some better than others, and read numerous threads on the forum on the setting up process. Yesterday I loaded it with...

    Yet another new member 😁

It was rather a case of pot luck. A bit like trying to open a Watneys party seven! Mind you it made my homebrew taste almost half decent!

They were a bit hit and miss. Mind you so was my sanitising 🤣

    Yet another new member 😁

Good evening I have recently joined the forum and been really impressed by the amount of support. I first had a go at homebrewing in the 80’s using Boots kits with generally okay results. After a gap of over 30 years I was given a Festival kit by a friend and was amazed by the difference. Fast...

    Better quality King keg cap

I had exactly the same problem and solved it by wrapping a few turns of plumbers PTFE tape around the threads. Now holds pressure perfectly 👍
