    The local Bristol water is pretty cack TDS in region of 375-425 ppm.I keep fish and have a RO water filter which can remove TDS to zero or upto about 10 if I haven't used the DI resin. Can I use the RO water for home brew kit i.e. Woodfords or Coopers

    Thnks all for the welcome,most of my old kit was made homeless by Mrs Bob in one of her many clearing the deck operations only found a hydrometer and a capping machine, so it's a Woodfords kit ordered to satrt us off and see how we get on,there will probably be loads of dafty questions appearing...

    Things have moved on a bit,yes I gave up in the early 80's, what is a two tin kit then? I like darker ales & porters generally as does Mrs Bobs :party:

    Hi,New to the forum planning on a return to brewing, used to brew wine quite well 20+ years ago,had a go at beers but was always disappointed.Used to be half bottle of beer with the other half full of sediment,have things moved on?
