    Just an update of 'hoppy beer', I used Amerillo, Simcoe, Cascade, Chinook and Centennial in the brew at it was great, with a fantastic aroma and just enough bitterness......... :)

    Adding Hops after cooling

    Can anybody advise if there is any reason why hops cannot be added to the wort after cooling but before aeration / pitching of yeast ? As totally forgot to add them at the end of boil and have now cooled everything :o

    I have tried Styrian, and also recipes with Saaz, Challenger and Fuggles but still nothing exiting in the 'nose' department, beer tastes good I just feel it lacks something..........might just have to increase quantity for a shorter time in the boil.

    I'm new to this forum type thing but have brewed all grain for many years and thought I better join in the fun on here. I have one question/problem which is that i cannot get a good hop aroma in the beer either from a bottle or cask. I have tried hopping at the end of the boil or dry hopping...
