    OK had these a few weeks now and they work fine. Really good fit with the DS18B20 sensors. Fitted to lid of FV with 16mm electrical cable gland.

    Morning all. I'm after a stainless thermowell that has an ID of 7 or 8mm. All I can find on Fleebay have a ID of 6mm. I need it cos my DS18B20 sensors have a 6.5mm OD. Any takers? Steve

    To answer the last 2 replies. The crushed grain was purchased in early December but has been stored in a cool place since then. No, the grain was not agitated much. The mash was between 63 and 68 degrees for 70mins. I had one DS18B20 sensor in the centre of the mash.

    Had a go at this as a first time all grain batch. Followed this pretty much to the letter apart from using slightly smaller vols of liquids due to restrictions on pot sizes. Ended up with just over 8 ltrs which is what I expected, topped up to 10 ltr with boiled, cooled water and took SG. 1.030...

    Just gathering kit to put together a 15 ltr brew kettle. So, I'll be boiling about 10 ltr batches in this. Was thinking of a single kettle element (2.2Kw). Is this enough heat to get a good rolling boil? Bye the way, this is first post. Hiya everyone. :)

    On the flip side of this, I had a barrel cap pressure relief valve fail. The pressure was finally relieved via. the washer on the flange of the tap at the base of the keg.
