    Yes, I have also had problems with Muntons kits and learnt the hard way. Good malt extracts, lousy yeast. Change the yeast type. (I tend to use Mango Jacks) and everything should be good. It's about time Muntons got the message.

    Fine or not Fine

    My own experience suggests that if your brew is a full mash, or an all malt extract then finings is not necessary and the beer will clear on its own and give a nice bright beer. If however you added sucrose or dextrose then I would consider using finings to help things along. Hope that helps.

    Hi Alex Over time I have made beer from several Woodfordes Wherry kits, and in my opinion they make a good session beer. My only reservation is the yeast they supply with the kit. Replace it with Mango Jacks M42 for a better result.
