    SMASH Beers

Marks and Sparks sell a Jester smash made by Adnams - you should give it a try. To be fair I think it really shines as a thirst quencher on a hot sunny day.

    Litter and fly tipping.

I had some yobs park outside my house once and chuck all their litter (Burger milk shake containers) on my front garden. I picked it up and followed them up the road in my car, till they stopped at a petrol station. I got out knocked on their car window, and as it came down, I threw all their...

    Klarstein Mundschenk

I saw a video of this machine being used and a second person was required to insert a support ring for the grain basket when it is raised. Is this still the case?

    Ireland's Trouble's legacy bill

For me it's a problem I cant fathom or understand. However I did have a medical work colleague who was in the army and served in NI and when I asked him if he shot folk he said blankly "Yes". I was a bit shocked to say the least.

    Smart meter [poll]

I dont have a smart meter and for us I cant see the point. A few years ago I was getting pestered weekly by energy companies to get one. In the end I told the caller I had one! Never got a nuisance call again. RESULT

    Grain prices creeping up.

Ive just seen the malt prices at The HBC and they've gone through the roof. I remember about 4 years ago 25kg base malt was 19 pounds and now is 40gbp. Luckily I placed an order about one month ago

Anybody able to achieve ~80% mash efficiency with BIAB?

Exactly what I do. How much sparge water I use is dependant on the size of the grain bill, though i do it by eye balling the volume. Ive done so many BIABs now I can judge volumes and boil offs by eye.
