    woodfordes wherry - advice please

    Ive made loads of wherry kits it is my favourite beer :D one thing i'd sugest is bin the supplied yeast and get some s-04 yeast because up to date I have not had a stuck ferment and the beer is clear within 2 weeks :thumb:

    No mate I want to know why if your making a extract beer you boil the extract but from what Ive read you dont boil the extract when you add it to a kit.

    thanks prolix so the only need for a boil is for hop bitterness could you not boil hops in water strain them and add the hop water to the beer?

    yeast and woodefordes

    I have made loads of wherry and used s-04 yeast for the last 2 batches and they have fermented out with no problems within 7 days cant comment on the taste yet but it is clearing quicker than the supplied yeast :thumb:
