    AG7 - a done deal

I tried a bottle of this during the week and other than being a bit flat, it's surprisingly clean tasting for year old grain! I forgot to take a pic, but it's cleared pretty nicely! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    AG8 - American RyePA

So, after a week in my brew fridge it's well on the way, so I transferred it off the train into a clean fermenter. When I transfer to the FV post cooling, I catch the hops is a sieve, but still end up with a lot of trub. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    AG7 - a done deal

So after buying 2 lots of grain last January I never did the 2nd brew, so kicked this off a few weeks ago (8th January) Not sure what the grain bill was as it was bagged up when I collected it from Brewstore last year! I had hops in the freezer so here's what I used. 22g Columbus leaf @...

    AG#6 BIAB Black IPA (again)

So, I just found 12 bottles of this in a box in the garage and it is really rather pleasant! I put on my first brew in a year this afternoon, planning to do a bit more this year! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

FREE - Empty bottles - Edinburgh

Hi folks, I have a stack of empty 500ml brown bottles available. All been rinsed and drained, then stacked into boxes. I have 16 boxes, totalling 385 empty bottles I don't need (just kept collecting them from various sources!) Please come and take some away if they are of use - otherwise...

Brown bottles in Edinburgh (swap for beer)

Not those ones, but I do have a load more than I need!

    AG#6 BIAB Black IPA (again)

Half a pack of US-05 sprinkled on the top of the aerated wort and the FV into my 20 degree water bath and it's off to a good start after 24 hours!

    AG#5 - American Red Rye

So this was down to 1.010 after a week. I transferred to one bigger FV and added in a bunch of dry hops for another week, cold crashing in the garage floor for the last 3 days before bottling. Bottled it last night - 16 bottles of quite a pale ale - didn't take any pictures but will do when...

    AG#6 BIAB Black IPA (again)

Currently bringing to the boil a 10L batch of Black IPA Grain bill as per Rodabod's post in the recipe forum. I've weighed my hops out, but forgotten exact quantities of what they are as got distracted by kids and getting the pork in the oven for dinner [emoji23] 60 min hops are Galena &...

Cheap & Simple Tropical Punch - A BBQ MUST

No, don't have any nutrient - will be getting some (and some wine yeast) to try a few more of these though!

Cheap & Simple Tropical Punch - A BBQ MUST

I started off a couple of batches of this last week (tropical & peach) but used US-05 yeast as I had it to hand. Any one tried with a beer yeast? I've had some odd smells coming out the air locks!

    AG#5 - American Red Rye

I decided to rig up a makeshift roof for the water bath to minimise heat loss - the old brewing towel comes in handy again!

    AG#5 - American Red Rye

So, cooled down and yeast pitched. Into demijohns in my water bath. OG of 1.050, which is nice!
