    Cornies with handles

I have seen a few people talk of using beer engines with Cornies. Presumably there is a small pressure applied to take up space when dispensing. Do you do a full carb - draught has less fizz? What pipe sizes are used as engines normally have larger pipes? Or is it just a bad idea!!

    Ist Brew Devil Brew

Thanks for the reassurance, I had done a 9o min boil with the wind whistling in the window and out of the back door. Pleased I hit the predicted gravity for the volume so must have got that bit right!

    Ist Brew Devil Brew

Did my first brew with the Brew Devil yesterday - A simple bitter from Graham Wheeler's book. Recipe was for 19l and gave total volume as 26.6l and Mash volume of 8l. I added the dead space below the tun of 7l and mashed 15l. I then sparged with the balance to make up to 26.6l. I had to add a...

    Fans in Fermatation Fridge

In the middle of building a fermentation from a fridge, and saw a video on u-tube of one with a couple of computer fans in it. Is it worth the effort in such a small place? I get the impression that most don't bother.

    Stirrers

Hi All In the middle of building a stirrer. Using a computer fan and a 12v supply. I notice a lot of the build descriptions on the net don't include any speed control. Firstly, do you think speed control is necessary? and secondly, if you do, what size potentiometer are you using? TIA...

    Lager Books.

Hi All I am new to the group, and intend to get back into home brewing this year. It is thirty years since I last brewed ales and I am amazed at how equipment and techniques have improved. I will probably end up with a Brew Devil 30. I recently acquired a copy of Graham Wheeler's, British...
