    Daft question re storing bottles....

Apologies if this sounds daft but... after the secondary fermentation stage the bottles go into the cool place (ie kitchen cupboard) to clear for a few weeks (ie as long as i can resist drinking them lol). Now as im struggling for space i wondered if, once they have cleared, if i then store them...

    Have I made a mistake.

I too made this with the full kg of brew enhancer, came out at 5.3%. Pulled my first pint last night and i have to say this is a cracking pint, quite strong, nutty taste and i think is my best one yet :)

Festival Premium Kit - Landlord's Finest Bitter

My first real "Premium" kit :) Set this going on sunday, instructions really clear with this one, warm the two pouches in hot water first, mix with 3 litres boiling water, topped up to 23L and pitched yeast in at 21 degrees... job's a good 'un :) Like the idea of the sachet of hop pellets to...

Thanks for the replies guys, think im going to look into BIAB, seems like a more sensible step up for me, rather than straight to AG :hmm:

Dark side... what would i need?

As it says above really folks, ive been through a few kit brews up to now and have started thinking about going AG in the not to distant future. All the equipment i have at the moment is a fermenting bin, king keg, hydrometer and bottles, but i may be able to splash out on a bit of kit soon...

Coopers English Bitter - only 500g sugar??

That's what i have, Muntons BE2 :) So it wouldn't cause any other problems with making the brew itself then? (fermenting time/conditioning etc) just make it stronger? Hmmm... may try it then. Won't be doing it until sunday anyway, got no more room until i move the bottles of lager currently...

Coopers English Bitter - only 500g sugar??

Hi, just a quickie ;) (and forgive me if this has been asked before) but i've just come home with a can of coopers english bitter and 1Kg brew enhancer 2. Now every kit i've made uses 1Kg of this but the instruction booklet on this says only 500g. Just wanted to check that it is correct before...

Well i tried a bottle today (they have been in a warmer place for a week now) and yes, much improved, there is much more gas in there now although i don't think it's quite there yet so i'm going to leave them warm just a little while longer, 2 or 3 more days before they move to a cold spot...

    Coopers Mexican Cerveza Help....

Warning: "newbie first post i made a daft mistake" alert ;) I made the this a few weeks ago, my first attempt at a lager. 2 weeks in the fermenting bin then i put it into PET bottles with one and a half coopers carbonation drops in each. I opened a bottle last weekend (after 2 weeks in the...

    Hi Everyone!

Hi all, new here so i thought i'd better say hello :) I started brewing a few months ago with a cheap bitter kit and got well and truly bitten by the bug! Just finished a woodfordes wherry and just kegged a batch of Geordie scottish export so can't wait for that. I'm finding it a fascinating...
