    Happy boy!

That's why I got this one in truth, he takes great care to point out the things that look similar but are nasty and how to tell the difference. I could do with the pocket version too which I think just gives the identification, what not to pick and the basic consumption advice without the...

    Buying grains in smaller quantities

If you email Rob your recipe he'll mill it into one big bag for you... Or rather, he'll tell you how to do it through the website. No wastage, but you don't get the economy of scale of the 25kg bag of pale...

    The Ploughman's Plus Challenge

Actually, the butchery bit would be interesting... but maybe not to all. I would counsel not going back beyond the already-butchered cut that will go into the pie in the interests of well, you know... :thumb:

    The Ploughman's Plus Challenge

The Ploughman's Plus Challenge graysalchemy and I (being the incorrigible foodies we are) have been chucking around the concept of what it would take to create a ploughman's lunch from scratch, like, *really* from scratch! But why should we keep the fun (or silliness) to ourselves? So here is...

    Craft Beer or crafty labeling?

It's a complete non-debate I'm afraid. The term probably came from the states, yes, but it certainly would not have been as a replacement term for "real ale", well not as we would know it - there are more people who have been to space than beer engines in the USA... That seems pretty close to...

    Perry with Malic Acid

Sounds exactly right to me Rob. It's the conversion to lactic (and more importantly the esters that are thrown off in the process) that's important.

smoked goat brains beer any one? walking dead tribute

This "let's add a tiny amount of something really wacky to a massive vat of beer to make it sound dangerous and appeal to the hipsters" is getting *so* f**king tedious. Brewdog knocked this on the head back in 2010 with "End of History", a beer spirit at 55% bottled and packaged in dead stoats...

Disaster - more leaning stilton of eccles woes

At least it's not completely dead... ...and on the upside they are still the best looking so far! :thumb: Won't be long until you make a proper belter of a cheese! :hat:
