Hey Brew. I'm going to put a marked strip of stainless steel , bent over at the top to retain it on the rim, into the boiler. It doesn't have to go right to the bottom just to within the range you work.
Just had a glass of the Amber Gambler from the FV. It has biscuity flavours from the amber malt but the Saaz takes the edge off them and gives it quite a bit of depth.
Snowing at the moment in the North Pennines.
I suppose sun bathing on top of an active volcano with a depleted ozone layer above may seem attractive
Mine's all done by gravity via a plate cooler into the FV, it does 23l in around 25mins. I'm not metered. Good point about putting it back through the wort though. I'll be interested in the answers.
Thanks Wez :thumb: I didn't have time to reply last night. So what your saying is that you keep your KK under pressure and it goes up to the non return v/v then to the hand pump :?: I was thinking of doing this with a cornie but keeping the pressure down to a couple of psi. A pic would be...
Picking up on Wez's comments in the Using Finings thread. I have invested (my wife believes me) in an Angram beer engine and was going to rig it up to cornie. I hope you don't mind another topic. I'd like to get this up and running for my next finished beer.
Cheers Wez, :thumb: They're Brupaks. By keg are you meaning Cornie and if so are there any issues with the finished product :?: I'm going to IG as well so will drop it into another fermenter and go from there.
