    TCP Taste again ....

    Unfortunately the taste does not disappear -I kept a few bottles for months and still there :cry: Ditch it and start again - I've had this happen to twice in about 12 batches - hence I'm next using that starsan non-rinse, non-chlorinated rinse and bottled tesco's ashbeck water next try...

    Thanks guys for the info - I think I'll switch to a no-rinse steriliser and bottled water. I think the final rinse with tap water must have been it then ...

    TCP Taste again ....

    Hi My last brew had that 'TCP' medicinal taste - undrinkable ... I've had this once before and as I understand it probably due to inadequate rinsing of my chlorine based steriliser or too many chloramines etc in water (despite boiling and half a Camden tablet) Plan B for next brew (IPA)...

    The dreaded TCP taste ...

    The dreaded TCP taste .... I've been brewing for a couple of years now and had pretty successful brews (if I do say so myself !!) but the last one had the dreaded (slight) TCP taste. Now, I'd brewed in the same way and carefully rinsed and re-rinsed after sterilising equipment with 'VWP'...

    Hi This is my first post on this excellent forum - apologies if I'm treading on someone else's toes and please redirect me if so but..... I've been AG brewing for a couple of years and so far (touch wood) all my brews have 'worked' and have varied in taste from okay to really not too bad at...
