    What did you brew today?

Brewed a basic ale yesterday, currently no chilling. Pale, bit of amber and ekg. Will put in the Pinter and pitch Windsor this morning. Shot for 1035, but got 1041. 82% mash efficiency as opposed to the usual 70-75%? I haven't been getting good attenuation from Windsor so the abv might be...

Keg fermenters? What to look at?

I am sure there are lots of similar keg fermenters - Pinter, Minibrew come to mind, but they are small. Maybe someone knows about other brands and their pros and cons per model?

    Pinter for all grain…

Does it have a corny keg type lid or one of the small openings? If corny then hop sock will be fine but if it's one of the small ones then getting the sock out will be a challenge. I dry hopped in a commercial keg with a sock once and spent longer than I'd like to admit trying to pry it out when...

Pinter kit brew need help please

That makes sense then. Split across 3 Pinters then it should work. This is the main thread in which Pinters were discussed, where there was some conversation about using them as a fermenter for other beers: PINTER beer system

Keg fermenters? What to look at?

I returned Pinter because it was collecting water inside. They said it was not affecting the quality, but what happens if water is accumulating between walls? Here is one of Keg Fermenters, it has YouTube - ferment and then serve

...the barrel. I tried to resist the temptation but I had to have a quick slurp (purely for quality control reasons) and OMG............ Its going to be hard to be patient and wait for it to condition and clear as IMHO its fantastic. The Pinters just doing whatever its doing whatever that...

Pinter kit brew need help please

I've never used a Pinter so far from an expert, but aren't they only a 10 pint capacity, whereas the Muntons kit is for 30 pints? If so, I don't think that is going to work unless you only use a third of the Muntons kit. I have seen people on the forum use a Pinter to ferment beers not produced...

...a hydrometer? If so check the SG of the first kit. The presence or lack of bubbles isn't a good indication of fermentation progress. Does the Pinter have a built-in heater? Unless you are brewing lager 10 to 12 is not warm enough. You were right with the first kit. Try to find out if any of...

    What did you brew today?

Yes, the attenuation of Windsor is low, I think I've only used it once in a mild. I'm wondering if it would work well combined with another yeast 🤔.

...take one at the start, it's okay. Just you will want to take final ones, 2 days in row and you should get the same reading (somewhere around 1.010ish, give or take) and it will be done fermenting. Not a clue on the Pinter, but the Apartment Brewer just did a review of one, so it may be of...

    Hamstead homebrew Cornish ale

Few pints of the Cornish ale yesterday, poured from my Pinter and despite being under 4% it certainly didn't feel like it. I knew I had them 😂

Pressure fermentation - should I put the fermenter into the fridge to condition?

...sediments from the bottom (thinking about MiniUni or Apollo 60L Unitank fermenters, they allow removing the sediments) should I, similar to Pinter, place the fermenter into the fridge to condition? Luckily, I have lots of space in my fridge I will be brewing IPAs and lagers, rarely stouts...

Keg fermenters? What to look at?

Hi, everyone, Having used Pinter before, I like the idea of having less kit (less maintenance and cleaning) even though it may limit what I can do. And I like the idea of keg fermenters. What features I should look at when choosing a suitable keg fermenter? I want something that is easy to...

    Pilgrims reward ipa hamstead homebrew

I know what you mean, I used to brew quite a few Pinter brews. I found a Pinter cider pack I had here dated September last year. Fairplay it fermented well. I put the hamstead homebrew czech pilsner on today. It come with two tubs of malt extract and a bag with liquid hop oil in it. I'm going...

    Hello from Wales

...a tubular heater here to convert into a fermentation chamber. Also have a Fermenter King Apollo uni tank on order. I have previously brewed under pressure with 10 pint extract kits using Pinters. Success wise, this was a bit hit and miss and that is what led me to taking a break from the hobby.
