...and I was about 6 years old when I pulled my first pint. I always wanted to try brewing my own but never got round to it. Then I found this Pinter cask thingy. I have my first batch currently brewing in the kitchen. I'll open a thread on this in a bit. But anyway, thanks for having me and I...

    PINTER beer system

...size extract brew and definitely better than my first AG one but, once I'd worked out what I was doing, I'd say you get a much better beer from an AG brew than a Pinter, and a lot more of it! It got me into proper brewing so, if it does that to a few more people, then that's only a good thing.

    PINTER beer system

...above the beers as cloudy as hell and it seems a bit too slick to be an honest review anyway. As for the facebook group if you criticise the pinter in anyway you'll quickly get taken off the group plus be called a bunch of names before you do. Best thing you use one for is a very expensive...

Anyone got some part mash recipes?

I think you did amazingly. What's the final volume? Is it a 40-pinter? You won't get 8% abv from a wort with OG 1054, more like 5.5% I should think.

    Pinter

Lots of people on the Pinter FB groups split 40 pint kits into 3 and buy a couple more yeast packets. Ive not bothered yet doing that yet, I’ve just used the two kits it came with plus just finished their Weiss beer, all have been good and tasty. if I wanted to do a 40 pint kit I’d just do...

    PINTER beer system

Hello, my in laws bought me a pinter for Xmas, they usually by me a beer kit as they used to have a local home brew shop in worthing, Sussex but wanted to continue on brewing theme. I have only just received my pinter now due to lockdown and living 200 miles away. I wanted to say thanks for...

    PINTER beer system

I bought one of these in November 20. Like members above, I agree, the beer itself is typical extract twang. I tried an all-grain using the Pinter as an FV which was better, but the tap clogged quickly when transferring, and it was difficult to calculate the grain bill as the Pinter is so small...

    Stu brü days

As I was nearing my capacity for dispensing options, I decided to take an inventory. 46.26l in total 68 x 500ml 9 x 740ml 1 x 5.6l pinter I have 4 x 500ml empties and 6 x 740ml, with currently nothing in a fermenter. Temperature is just too high at the moment I don't think it's wise to brew...

...the cost of AG brewing- but most probably don’t consider), it is supposedly more sustainable, and you end up with a decent pint IMHO. It won’t be for everyone, but then neither is a Nespresso. For me I’ll continue to use the Pinter for different styles of beer and AG to brew because I enjoy it.

    What did you brew today?

...no boil wheat beer. 1kg pilsner, 1kg wheat, 100g acid 10g magnum boiled for approx 12mins to give approx 12 ibu. Will give 6l to go in the pinter system and pitch with mj m20 slurry from previous no boil wheat. Will give this one 1 week ferment and 1 week conditioning after the sucess of...

    PINTER beer system

...The advantage of this is its easier to clean than the £8 minikegs(casks) and you'll get more uses out of it. I'm unsure of the psi the Pinter can hold, I was going to ask. It's a shame you cannot introduce co2 it lengthen the shelf life, although the carbination dial is removable and they...

Homebrew kit in a pressurised fermentor

I've been on a bucket brewing learning curve in parallel with a Pinter (small pressurised vessel) learning curve - next step is larger brews under pressure, for which I have a 35L Snub-nose fermentor, pressure kit and spunding valve ready to go. I'd like to start with straight forward Mangrove...

That didn't really answer the question, what about the amount of sugar, we all know what to use to make 40 pints but thanks anyway

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

My Weiss n Easy. Grain to glass in 2 weeks using the Pinter. Did have more head but it sat around while I took refractometer readings. Comes it at 5.6%, not the best tbh, the last iteration was probably better, but there are differences... used the yeast slurry from the last in this one, used a...

    Mangrove Jack Brut IPA

Just finished off my keg of this, was my first try at a 'big' brew after a few ones done in the Pinter and was ok-ish, I think the 'ish' was probably down to my mess-ups, I accidentally dropped half the hops in at the beginning of fermentation when trying to jerry rig something with bags and...
