Building a dedicated brewing space in my garden...

Yep, I would be interested in the costing as I have been looking a similar set up. I have been looking at this https://www.costco.co.uk/view/p/forest-garden-chiltern-34mm-log-cabin-13ft-1-x-9ft-8-40-x-30-m-uninstalled-166621 or something similar. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Weighing grain?

I have digital fishing scales hanging from a hook in the brew shed, the grain goes into a black builders bucket. Works well for me. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Is this normal?

Surely you need a hydrometer reading as the alcohol will skew the refractometer reading? You can get a true gravity then. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Inkbird itc-308

I have two and both work perfectly. Be careful to calibrate it if the temp reading is out, my second one was nearly two degrees out! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    C02 Tanks and Suppliers

I get mine from the local Calor supplier, they don’t guarantee food grade although it always is. My supplier is in Keighley, West Yorkshire. Large tank is about £22 with tank deposit about £30, has been online for nearly a year. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    16g CO2 capsules

I get mine from Brewsmarter, not as cheap as your first choice but cheaper than others. http://www.brewsmarter.co.uk/16-gram-co2-cartridges-for-mini-kegs-brewferm-pack-of-10-1525-p.asp Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    The crossmyloof brewery yeast

Have to agree with your first comment however my favourite has got to be galaxy, just taken delivery of a kilo from geterbrewed, cost fifty quid but most other suppliers are out of stock. Next batch on is likeley to be Cluck’d If I Know, an Old Golden Hen clone with ABV ramped up a bit.

    Cheapest place to buy grains

I’ve just received my latest order and prices are very good, make sure you order the full weights worth for the postage costs. BTW how do I claim a discount, for the next order obviously? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Beer Hawk

If they can be refilled then I would invest in a dispensing unit and half a dozen full kegs but don’t want to spend if I can’t use my own beer. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Beer Hawk

Anyone using these kegs with their dispenser? Does anyone know if the kegs are refillable at home? They appear to refill them themselves. https://www.beerhawk.co.uk/perfectdraft-goose-island-midway-6l-keg Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    The crossmyloof brewery yeast

I asked Steven, the boss man, at CML a couple of weeks ago and he couldn’t say. A few months ago he said he was waiting for a supply agreement to come to an end. Would be great to get grain also, I only use their yeast and moving hops over to them as I need. Great prices, A1 service...
