Best one pot system for a complete novice

Hi My mate wants to get in to brewing bit doesn't want a three vessel system like I have but is looking for a single pot system. I know there's the grainfather and several other cheaper version s. Do they all perform the same or do you get better results for the extra expense. Daz

    First brew questions

Get yourself a hydrometer to check if you've reached final gravity they don't cost a lot. If you got sterilising stuff with your kit follow the instructions and use that. There are several options for sterilising your equipment but I'd just go with what you have for now. Daz

    Spiedel braumeister

Any users of the 50plus considering getting one I brew to fill 2 cornies each brewday so i think this will fit better than the grainfather or brewtools 40pro.

    SS Brewtech Unitank Temp Control

Theory's bang on. I was fine until we hit 28 degrees outside. The garage walls absorbed the heat all day then radiated back all night.

    SS Brewtech Unitank Temp Control

It depends where you keep the unitank. I've got a 14gallon chronical in my garage and over the past few weeks have struggled to keep the temp down. I'm changing the water daily and using loads of ice in a cool box but temp was reaching mid twenties but im trying to keep it at 18 degrees.

How did you fix the hoist? I like the look of this system but brew solo so would need a hoist but my garage is concrete panels/beams and don't fancy attracting it the that.
