    Fermentation Finished?

I’m guessing it’s done, wouldn’t worry too much about the slight difference in reading, wouldn’t think it would affect taste too much. Ive had a beer that didn’t drop past 1.02 it was still good just slightly sweater

    Fermentation Finished?

I would guess if it’s been the same reading for three days, it’s done. Has the temperature been stable? I did a brew same time as you and checked the reading yesterday, was 1.02. It was fermenting in the kitchen near back door so temperature has been varied. I had another beer in the brew...

    Bake your first sourdough 🤤

Made my first loaf, it didn’t quite go as I wanted it to, and I was about to give up on it. Left the dough overnight to proof, put in my make shift proving basket on a muslin cloth with flour on, dough was very moist and I had to rip it off leaving it a sorry state. Put it in my Dutch oven. I...

    Bake your first sourdough 🤤

I’m a little bit late to this, I’m on day 4 now, I’ve been reading through the post and I’ve possibly misread, but in your initial schedule you say take 30g from the starter and add to 60g water and 60g water and later in the thread you say take 60g from your starter. Can you clarify should I be...

Where do you get your stuff from?

I’m thinking of contacting a local micro brewery to see if I can buy grain from them. Has anybody done this with success?

Where do you get your stuff from?

As above Crossmyloof for hops and yeast but grain is expensive from them, geterbrewed, the malt Miller, the home brew shop, Worcester hops. There are some discount codes in the sponsor forum section

    Pump needed to whirlpool

Brill thanks for your advice, I will do as you recommend, I had kept the hoses at the length they are due to using them on the mash tun and boil kettle which are further apart. I will cut to size and look to order more hoses if need be.

    Pump needed to whirlpool

Here’s my set up, took these when I was cleaning the vessels. I’m guessing you have answered my question already when the pump has issues it’s likely I’ve got air trapped in the line, I think I need to change the elbow to something straight. I originally put the elbow on as this was all I had...

do you ever get it where it fills in the pump and pushes half way up the pump but doesn’t have the pressure to quite make it until you play with the tubing and move the pump around

Disgusting Batch - Help What Went Wrong

The beers that have gone for bad for me are when I used an out of date liquid yeast, I did too batches from the same mash and boil kettle one with dry yeast which turned out well and the other with the liquid, so it was easy to identify the problem. My second problem was and I don’t know why I...
