    Electric Coffee machines (under £100)

I also have a little gizmo which separates the coffee from the pod - so you put the aluminium in the recycling and the coffee in the compost. My Nespresso machine cost 70 pounds - if you register it they will repair for free but mine has been going for years. There is a deal at the moment if you...

    Electric Coffee machines (under £100)

I wouldn’t be separated from my Nespresso I think the coffee is much better than the Tassimo. But the Tassimo is still great coffee.

I’m definitely in. I have been baking it fairly regularly but my starter died when my kids were quarantining in my house a few weeks ago. Would love to join in.

    MYO ipa

What are your hydrometer readings.? I would take readings over the next 3 days. I often find that the beer starts to re-ferment a bit when you add the hops -looks to me like it hasn’t finished I This is called hop creep. In my experience hops generally start to drop out when it has I...

    Bottle bother!

I would put them back in the warm for a couple of weeks. It’s unlikely they are leaking. Co2 is created initially and if there is some pressure it will then absorb into the liquid and the longer you leave it warm the longer it will ferment. 2tspns will give a gentle fizz if you want more go up...

Anyone spotted any black Friday Home Brew deals

It’s pretty much the same one that I have and it does have a hump at the bottom but should still be enough room for a fermenter on top

    I've had a disaster!

Anyway the good news is is that your brew is proceeding normally. In my brews it’s quite normal that the airlock stops bubbling because I don’t think my bucket is particular well sealed and as soon as the initial vigorous fermentation ceases I don’t get any air bubbles at all through the...

    Carbonation tablets

Does it say on the packet how much each carbonation tablet weighs?

Sorbates and sulphites and secondary fermentation, oh my!

I have carbonated cider with polish black currant Lowecitz brand- which has no preservatives and also added normal saccharine tablets and it tasted very nice.

    First brew help please

You haven’t messed up - it will be absolutely fine particularly if it tastes good. Leave the dry hops in for a few days check your gravity readings and bottle when stable. Like many others here I tend to never bottle before 2 weeks to allow the beer to clear itself up.
