I've always found them really helpful

    Andy Murray's Mam.

He was at the school of the Dunblane massacre. 8 at the time. His brother too .

    Bere Malt

Bruichladdich do a single malt whisky from bere barley. If I remember correctly, it's one of the earliest barleys in the British isles, imported by Vikings.

    Andy Murray's Mam.

A fair bit of bitterness towards the man and his ma, just because she raised the Scot who won Wimbledon (twice)

    What are you drinking tonight.

Evil Twin Brewing's Wet Dream. A pretty good brown ale, and a cracking name for a beer.

Gambling, how much should the government protect us from ourselves

Everyone has to take some responsibility for their actions. Some people are more prone than others to certain detrimental behaviours (gambling, violence, drugs) partly due to genetic make up, and partly due to their upbringing and experiences. And when viewing these behaviours, each of us has...

    What are you drinking tonight.

I'm had a Schneider Weisse Tap 1 - a hefeweizen. A little underwhelming. I'm now sipping Brewdog's Get Out Claus, a Mexican Hot Chocolate Stout, at 8.2%. Really good, with a very slight chilli aftertaste.

    Xbox expert req!

My tuppence worth - and apologies if I'm being daft - Is the new Xbox connected to your WiFi? He's not logged in on another device? I'd imagine they would restrict dual logins.

    James Morton - Brew

I'm making Smashed it soon. I kind of got the vibe from his blurb that it might be similar to Timothy Taylor Landlord?

Brew York ! Kicking the old dogs into touch ?

Absolutely. At my works Christmas night out I had 3 or 4 pints of bog standard lager, before I realised they had Punk IPA on tap. I was so grateful .

Brew York ! Kicking the old dogs into touch ?

I think Brew Dog were making really great beer years ago, when they were breaking new ground. But they've either went backwards as they became so big and commercial, or they've stagnated and other breweries are now breaking new ground. I'll keep an eye out for Brew York beers.

Hi Mitch, can I ask which Maltmiller recipe it was, and what you changed.

    Xmas Swap 2018 Review Thread

This was Teddy's Stout, which I have not long finished. I took it out the fridge for about 20 mins so as not to be too cold . Nice bright head, not the dark tan you sometimes see in stouts. Perfect carbonation and body. Yeast was glued to the bottom of the bottle. A lovely sessionable...

Cheers Hoddy, that was from me. I felt it was ideal as a swap at this time of year, something of a winter warmer. Glad you enjoyed it.

    Good lager in the UK

Tesco sell Vocation Brewery's Dirty Pilsner. Probably nothing like the traditional European lagers, but it's very good.

The Beer World Cup 3rd Place Playoff!!!!

I had a pint of Sharp's Doom Bar yesterday, from the cask. It was darn good. And I hate the bottled version. I now understand what people are talking about when they say that TTL from the cask is amazing, but the bottled version isn't. I haven't tried it from the cask but I will, next...
