I have transferred straight into an unclean keg a few times. Never had a problem. It had fresh beer in it before with no nasties in, it’s been pushed out with co2, and your going to put your new fresh beer into it with (hopefully) no nasties in it. Only things I ever considered when doing it...

I’ve never smelt or tasted sabro, the coconut is a strange one, all I can imagine is a Malibu beer, yuk. Could you smell it from the hops? I’m sure it will be a cracking pint, keep us updated!

At 5am Sunday I got my first brew on since November! Punk ipa clone, did a bit of water treatment for the first time so super excited to see how this turns out.

It sounds like they’ve addressed a few of the problems with the original grainfather, and I really want a larger kit....... 3 brews in one brew day! I would have to use my 30L GF as a very expensive sparge heater. I would of course need another SS fermenter or two to handle that much beer. But...

Hey, I did this with you last time. It was an absolute bargain. I would definitely be in for it again. I would be up for getting something American again, Citra, mosaic and cascade are all brilliant.

What do u need to know? I wouldn’t worry about the internal stat, I doubt you will want your beer that cold. Or better still get a chest freezer and build a Keezer. Also it’s well worth having some secondary regs so you can have different carbonation levels.
