Cyclist and fire truck who's at fault

Hmm, so a fireman/woman on the way to possibly saving someones life, purposely attempts to mow down a cyclist on the way to doing so?

Cyclist and fire truck who's at fault

As a London cyclist this how you HAVE to cycle. I heard this 'phrase' a long time ago and have ridden that way ever since. It is weird how some cyclist somehow assume that a bike vs car wont always end up being car 1 bike 0.

Cyclist and fire truck who's at fault

I have no idea what the braking distance of a fire engine, going full pelt is, but I dont want to test it out

Cyclist and fire truck who's at fault

What he should have done , is simply pull over and let it pass. It's a fire engine. Dont get in its way!

Cyclist and fire truck who's at fault

I NEVER undertake anything as big as a firetruck for exactly the above reason unless it's stationary because you've got nowhere to go if it turns left. The cyclist was lucky because of the bollards. Other cyclist have been crushed on railings like those in the vid Edit - also the cyclist...

    Hi everyone

One thing that hasnt been pointed out is there is a difference when brewing lager and ale. Becks is obviously a lager. Brewing a lager in a traditional way is harder than brewing an ale as you need to ferment cold (at about 10C) then condition cold (at about 1C). To do this you need a brew...

Where do you store your malt?

These are supposed to be rodent proof and will easily store 20kg of malt. I have one and you can fit a 25kg sack of base malt in it https://www.amazon.co.uk/Litre-Plastic-Blue-Container-Storage/dp/B01AM5RZKA

Domestos Ultra White And Sparkle Bleach

That's a shame. As you've found out to your cost you can only use thin bleach for bleaching things (or indeed making a no rinse solution) If you ever find yourself in the same situation again, you can just 'oven' your bottles to santise them. - Put the bottles in a cold oven and turn it on...

Fermentation temperature for lager. Am I too hot?

You could use california common yeast as this is a lager yeast that can be used at ale temps. I've used these types of yeast (although I fermented at about 15C) and they do come out nice, clean and lager like. Alternatively you could use a kviek as 23C is very cool for a kveik (normally you...

    Disaster

If as many suspect Midland yeast is notty, then you'll be fine. Notty has a massive temp tolerance. I've had it up to 27C no problems during the summer months

    Martin's Brewday

Perhaps it's because I normally use a bit of sugar (golden syrup) in most of of my brews?

    Disadvantages of No Chill

You'll get chill haze when you put your beer in the fridge

    Martin's Brewday

    The Coronavirus thread.

Just a thought; The pubs are opening on sat (in England). Will the breweries have had enough time to supply all the pubs? If not, what will people be drinking (ie pre-lock down slops?) 🤢

    More Facebook leaks

Facebook says it mistakenly let 5,000 developers gather information from people's profiles after a time limit on their rights had expired. Apps on Facebook are supposed to be prevented from accessing people's personal data if the app has not been used for 90 days. But Facebook said that...

    The Coronavirus thread.

Fair 'nuff. I wont be going in any pubs for a while to see if they do (or dont do) cause a spike in infections

But are you willing to risk you and your families life and health on that though?
