In my opinion - Dogs on leads.

My terrier is much the same. His prey drive is way too high, and he'd end up lost, or dead. Plus, no one with a nervous dog needs another dog running up into their space. "Oh, but he's friendly" they cry! "Well we're f*cking not".

    Electric cars.

More tax on petrol/diesel cars might. You don't need to ban something to make it less desirable. If the government can't afford incentives, then they could always continue to disincentivise ICE motors.

    Whirlpool/hopstand vs dryhop

It would be much lower at 80c, having not being boiled for 10 minutes also.

    Aliexpress - Kegland Store

If Evri have admitted that it's lost, then Kegland have to process a refund. If they don't, then just go through your bank with your evidence and file a chargeback claim.

    Recommend me a digital refractometer

It's more for brew day for quick readings. I use hydrometer for post-fermentation.

    Recommend me a digital refractometer

I've looked at that hydrometer funnily enough. I don't brew that many high gravity beers anyway, but the dilution idea is a great one. I have a refractometer that I use on brew days, and it works very well for me. Just fancied something that gave a digital reading. I might take a pint on one...

    Recommend me a digital refractometer

Going to bump this. I'm guessing that there aren't too many on here that own one. Would be keen to here from anyone who has.

    Octopus energy

That's exactly it! I was going to say! Some beast of a charger if you're car is charging that quickly.

    Octopus energy

Really?! What output does your charger have?

    Sediment

Yeah, it can make you a bit gassy. It's not really appropriate to style, and apart from the styles that Samale has listed, it just doesn't taste great.

Black Malt - is it what you think?

I used to be an exponent of cold steeping until I actually started putting roasted/darker grain in the mash. It's purely anecdotal, but the last few I've brewed in this way have tasted far richer and foam seems far more stable too.

    Recommend me a digital refractometer

So I'm wanting another gadget. I'm not going to spend silly money on Antor Paar stuff (as cool as it looks), but can anyone recommend a digital refractometer? Seen a few Milwaukee ones go for decent prices second hand, but wouldn't be adverse to one of the many Chinese clones that are out there...

    Electric cars.

My wife uses granny charger for her PHEV. It's perfect for that usage. I wouldn't bother with it for my EV.

OK! Hoppy Dark Ale to some a NO NO! What about a Hoppy Irish Stout?

Cascadian Dark Ale or Black IPA is one of my favourite styles.

Should i just bin my hydrometer?

Is it definitely meant to be a 23l batch?

Experiment beer ending up too sweet

I'd consider making a hop tea to add some bitterness. Should balance it out for you.

    American Brown Ale an appreciation.

I use it for bittering in my house lager. It's really lovely.

    American Brown Ale an appreciation.

Sounds great. Aurora is a lovely hop. Where is the Topaz going in?

    Crossmyloof

They've been brilliant from day one. Businesses like theirs just get it, and it's great when you come across that.

    TMM website

Same for me. Perhaps they are doing skem site maintenance? Other pages seem unaffected.
