Make sure you screen shot that webpage to indicate that it did say it has a chiller (when it doesn't!) Those pegs are for the top sparging plate (should have corresponding screw for each peg) to allow you to lift it evenly. The cap allows you to fill your mash tun with grains without...

Wow! Awesome review. :thumb: Just ordered my grains last night from maltmiller and looking forward to having my first brew day in the UK. Reading your review makes me even more excited to brew. For the love of beer!

My kettles back home that used propane would develop a scale on the bottom. No amount of PBW or soap would remove it. I was able to find a solution just soaking it in white vinegar for 10-30 minutes. The stuff would come right off. :thumb: Since it DOESN'T have an exposed element, I see this...

Hey Bill. Not sure to be honest as I have not gone through it. When I took the control board cover off I did not see a peizo (sound making device) soldered or otherwise. I don't see it featured but when I do a batch, I'll update on here :)

Found the issue! It was user error. A really dumb oversight I know.. :) It does indicate in the manual that the Ace Micro Brewer will NOT start without the 3 parameters entered- time, temperature, and power setting. I posted some videos: How to program the Ace Micro Brewer...

OKAY. I'm an idiot. Got it to work :) I deleted the video I posted. I got it to work after sitting down and programming it. Thanks. I'll fiddle around with it and update.

    Draught beer vs Bottled beer

Lots of variables. I do often times find draft to taste better as well. Temperature swings, shelf life, light, how the product has been maintained, how long its been sitting (undisturbed), turnover; all things considered- everything is against the bottle. From a production stand point, if...

So finally got my Ace Micro Brewery. Unfortunately I either A.) Can't operate it or B.) It doesn't work https://youtu.be/nWZKEAfHnfQ Pressing start didn't seem to do anything either. I did manage to pick up some other goodies. Got my brew jacket, bottling bucket, capper, cleaner/sanitizer and...

I don't. Still need some measuring devices, mineral salts, fermentation vessel, buckets, bottling equipment, etc. American wheat beer is very easy to make and hard to screw up. I would recommend that if you're doing AG. Nice to know the ACE Microbrewery has stepping to reduce/prevent...

I read 'somewhere' that the location of the temperature probe on kettles like his pose issues with the element cutting off sooner than they should. If you experienced a vigorous boil I suspect it's more than likely working as designed. Moving the probe elsewhere may prove helpful at attaining a...

Having access to a welder is invaluable. I plan on modding this as we identify shortcomings of the unit.

Hehe stick welders are cool. Just not enough resolution to make the quality welds for small applications like welding a bung or doing stainless steel. :)

General - 5 Tips for brewing by John Palmer - via BeerSmith Podcast

Came across a video I felt was a bit eye opening in some points that helped draw a better perspective on brewing for me. I felt it was very helpful! From who some consider the father of Homebrew back in the states :thumb: John Palmer :grin...

Brew Jackets immersion cooling heating system

Mash->Lauter->Boil->Chill->Pitch Yeast->Ferment with immersion chiller-> Send to bottling bucket->Add sugar->Mix->Bottle The neat thing was being able to step out temperature wise to reduce the amount of 'shock' to the yeast *edit* not saying you couldn't do this whole thing for waaaaaay...
