It will still sanitise your chiller if you run the pump once the wort has gone off the boil. Not sterilise, but sanitise. My G40 pump clogs if I use leaf hops without spider or bag; but pellets are no problem, so that's an alternative.

I keep my gear in the shed, which gets much more damp than I expect your loft does. No issues. But another alternative would be to run a dehumidifier for a couple of hours a day. If it is a cold loft you would need a dessiccant dehumidifier.

A grainfather all in one - ie combined mash tun and boiler. You pump direct from g40 into fermenter. Wort flows through a filter plate before it reaches pump.

Not exactly dissolve but they do disintegrate into tiny particles. I dont use a bag with pellets, but I use a g40 which filters the hop mush out when i transfer to fv.

You say some bottles were ok and some not, that has me suspecting the bottles harboured something that you are gradually getting rid of.

Some fridges (eg cerain bosch models) have an ambient temerature switch, which you flick in winter. Otherwise the fridge overcools. We used to have one and regularly forgot about it till things started freezing. Bottom and back of fridges are usually coldest, door warmest, whatever the make.
