    Electric chainsaws...

Have you got one of these ? https://amzn.eu/d/0Opov8k Whack it in a vice and makes getting the angle and depth correct when sharpening. Just make sure you get one the correct size for the chain.

If you hit a buried nail or screw or even dirt it takes the sharp tip off the teeth so you need to sharpen.

    Pluto gun vs party tap

Hi BC do you have the 20l versions as I didn’t know that you could remove the handle? I thought it was part of the lid?

    Pluto gun vs party tap

Hi all, was about to order a NukaTap mini with flow control and spotted a note on TMM that they don’t fit the 20l Oxibar kegs , which I have, due to the handle. Any recommendations on an alternative?

    Zombie knife ban

Yep they still manage to improvise in prisons so getting hold of alternative sharp/ pointy tools and utensils in regular life is simple.

To pitch or not to pitch?

There is a slim possibility it could be wine yeast contamination as I was also making damson wine during the same brew session. any idea what that would do in an ale?

To pitch or not to pitch?

Yesterday’s brew day has had an odd twist! After the hop stand I let the wort cool in the kettle until it was 40c then transferred to the fermenter. Overnight it cooled to 30c but the WHL saturated yeast need cooler wrt so left it until this evening. This is what a came home to? So clearly I’ve...

    Hop plants/rhizomes - growing report

My Fuggles were down a bit on last year’s harvest (grown up the chimney) but my EKG produced very little at the end of the garden. May have to move it.

Brewzilla Gen 4 advice and experiences

Hi Peter, I like this idea but you must have stuck with the original pump piping layout ? I changed my config to the alternative so only recirculating arm is pumped (so I could still use the tap when pump got blocked). What you say about the mash temperature overshoot is making sense as my...

A Rookie's Mistake and Transferring Woes

Hi Aero, yes was thinking of storing horizontally but I’ve been looking at the dimensions and measuring my beer fridge and it doesn’t work 😢 The gas bottle looks ideal so I’ll have to find my local supplier. So thanks for all the info as I’m set on the keg kit list but I think I will need...

A Rookie's Mistake and Transferring Woes

Thank you Aero, that has been so insightful and answered many of my questions in one go. Just a couple of questions remain if you would be kind enough: Can you lay any of the sizes you have horizontally in a fridge? What is the 2kg canister you mentioned? I’ll go have a look at the deluxe...
