    Build your own stackable crates?

I made some based on Here it is. Turned out well, 20 bottles a crate for about 8 quid each in wood (I bought the pressure treated stuff so I could store them outside with less concern for the weather, it could be done cheaper).

    Kegerator Approved!

Construction has begun. Just one tap on the fridge so far, took longer than expected due to the fridge not being anywhere near level to begin with, so I sorted that before starting so I didn't end up with everything being wonky when measuring it out. Also the heat generated by drilling the...

How to build a stir plate for less than ten quid

Done! Was a maybe a happy co-incidence that the fan didn't work, I took one out of an aging PC that ended up being an exact fit to the enclosure I was planning on using (Chromecast Audio box) which meant I didn't need to fix it in place and made fine tuning the height easy.

    Clear Beer Draught System

I think the lack of responses might be due to people not reading this forum, not a lack of interest. Assume you mean $35/device? Might be something I consider in the future but I've spent quite a lot on getting my kegerator set up recently.

How to build a stir plate for less than ten quid

Yep, I did and the other fan works fine with the potentiometer. Thanks for the help. Guess it might be an idea to replace the fan linked earlier in the thread with another so noone else has the same issue?

Cheers for the pointers, didn't read the whole thread. Will see if I have another fan...

How to build a stir plate for less than ten quid

The fan spins when connected directly to the power supply, so I guess the potentiometer is a dud.

How to build a stir plate for less than ten quid

Not sure, will check tonight. Does your plug make a high pitched noise when turning the dial? Everything is correct as the labels on things say, I will try swapping things about tonight as well.

How to build a stir plate for less than ten quid

I bought all the items from links near the start of this thread, wired them all up and my fan isn't spinning. There is a red LED that gets brighter and the plug makes a more intense, high pitched noise (although still fairly quiet) as I turn the knob but the fan doesn't start moving more than a...

    Kegerator Approved!

Great, thanks for the info. Not sure what you mean when you say "to connect to the keg on the floor ideally or have a connection outside the fridge"? Is the tap shank connection 3/8"? Do you have JG connectors on them or just the line pushed on, using any sort or jubilee clips or anything?

@bigbud78 what size beer line are you using?

    Kegerator Approved!

One last thing (for now at least) before I start buying stuff. I am going to buy these flow control taps previously mentioned. Do I need to reduce the diameter of the beer line or will I get enough control from the tap to avoid foaming? Is 3/8" beer line quite stiff? As you can see from my...

    Kegerator Approved!

Been looking at this regulator - http://www.angelhomebrew.co.uk/en/kegging/216-two-keg-dual-gauge-gas-regulator.html Which seems like a good price for what you get, anyone any experience? My only concern is that it doesn't have check valves on the outputs, which in the right circumstances...

Thanks for the post, looks like a interesting project. Have you tested it out yet? What is the accuracy like? Got a few too many other projects on the go at the moment but this might be something I make in the future.
