    Try to cultivate a starter from a bottle of Saison, it's not as hard as I thought it would be when I tried it, and it worked very well. I've just bottled a Saison made with MJ M29 and it finally stopped at 1.003 - yes 1.003 I know this is correct as I use a 'Finishing Hydrometer' scaled from...

    A week ago did my latest brew, a saison ... 2kg. each Maris Otter & Wheat Malt, 500g. Munich & 500g. white sugar. 90min mash at 67c dropping to 64c at end of mash. And a 30 min boil with 50g. Pearle hops. OG of 1054 for 23lit inc. Thoub in fermenter, pitched 2 packs of Mangrove Jack Saison...

    Welcome to the forum ! Don't worry about the time, I've found it takes me 6 to 7 hours to do an AG beer - remember you will spend at least 2 hours of that waiting for things to happen, the mash, the boil etc. Sit and have a beer as you wait :beer1:

    Just to add to my previous post...…. It's worthwhile looking at the all grain route, latest brew, a Saison beer, for grains hops yeast and power used, worked out at £17 for 23 lit. that's about 40p. per 500cl. bottle. at 6.5 ABV. I'm off to my home brew club tonight with some USA IPA, 5.6 ABV...

    Welcome to the forum ! I hope you can sort out the problem, could it be related to your water. We have soft water here in Manchester so never had a problem with PH, but it may be worthwhile getting a report from your water Co. And do use a Camden tablet to remove the chlorine from your strike...
