    Beer style water profiles

The latest edition of How To Brew by Palmer has guideline profiles for his recipes, so could be a good place to start?

My first ever brew was that recipe! It tasted very much like somebody's first ever brew :) I should revisit it soon :)

    Kveik

Last night I popped my 10ml vial into a 1l 1.040 starter. Less than 12 h later, there's a thick yeast blanket on the flask floor. About what I'd expect after a few days with a 'normal' yeast. This stuff is mental!

    Andrew's brew days

Nice! I've had a version of that same recipe sat in a glass carboy since start of December. I used 1.5 kg each of wheat and 'light' malt, plus 200g maltodextrin. Pitched US-05 and added some dregs from a selection of funky bottles (1 bottle each of Orval, Boon Mariage Parfait & Little Earth...

    Sexism taken too far?

Presumably you don't. This pub is for castle lovers only and we're not interested in the opinions of non castle lovers. You should be grateful you're even allowed in here. You should be at home wallpapering your flat plastered walls. Love

    Sexism taken too far? [poll]

A more interesting question might be along the lines of: Would you feel happy ordering a pint of Sensual Hairy Man Nipples or Taut Sexy Beefcake* with clientele suggesting it's your problem if you suggest that the marketing might be a bit off. *looks like I'm going to have to start writing...

I refuse to recognise the existence of that filth! @Chippy_Tea how do you add a forumite to the 'blocked' list? :)

    Sexism taken too far?

I'd probably draw it somewhere around here: Basically telling half yr potential customer base that they're not considered as customers but as product As an aside, I wonder what the demographic breakdown of those who see nowt wrong with this is? Let them eat cake

Converting coolbrewing bag into fermentation chamber.

I do similar. I use the coolbrewing bag. Pop FV inside with a heat belt wrapped around it and attached to an inkbird. I don't have a suitable fan and my inkbird model is only able to heat (rather than heat &cool), so I pop in a couple of bottles of frozen water. That way there's a constant...
