How long after kegging can you drink your 🍺

If you're pressure fermenting, your beer will come into condition quicker, though some beers are more suited to it than others. David Heath has some interesting videos on the subject on Youtube. Which conical fermenter are you using?

    Iodophor in homebrew

This is the one you want. The person who you spoke to is talking out of their hat. It's not a medicine , so you don't need a prescription or to fill out any forms. Ask to speak to the pharmacist or go elsewhere. As for re-using it, the citric acid gives it a slight tint, which apparently...

    Awful American units!

A far BETTER system would be: Year/Month/day As that narrows it down as you go. There are more days '1' than there are years '2021'. Same with addresses. Country Post Code County Town Street Number

    Awful American units!

And what's all the nominal nonsense? If I want a piece of timber 25mm thick, I don't want to be told "yeah, no problem" only to find out thar was the size when rough saw, not planed etc. Just like I don't want to buy a bottle of scotch labelled 780ml only to find out it's actually 750ml because...

Recommend me a low alcohol (1% or less) commercial brew

In my opinion, Becks Blue is about the best if I suspend my disbelief. There is one other , I think from Belgium, but for the life of me can't remember what it's called. I've got a bottle of Palm AF which I need to try soon. The AF hefeweizens I thought were OK, but went off them. A friend...

    Awful American units!

Of course the USA does actually have legislation for metric, it's just that it's use isn't mandatory and many industries have chosen not to switch. The irony? America would have been using metric hundreds if years before the UK if it hadn't have been for the British...

    Stainless steel pipe cutting

With a hacksaw, I think you'll probably have trouble getting a 'square'/'flat'(?) cut. With copper tube, it's easy enough to correct with a file. I'd be tempted to spend good money in the right tool and then sell it. Or search Google maps for someone who fabricates stainless. Catering equipment...

    Live Brew And BBQ day

I smoked some chuck a few years ago. Up until that point, the only beef I'd smoked was brisket and in my opinion superior to brisket. If you can stretch to organic, Brown Cow organics sell fantastic beef. Their beef is from Guernsey cows. A lot is from male calves born on their dairy farm and...

    Is capitalism exploiting you?

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. And no, the opportunity to avoid taxes legally isn't open to everyone. And I wouldn't mind betting you are completely outraged by people the media label as 'benefit cheats'.

    Is capitalism exploiting you?

And the very rich spend their money on accountants who come up with clever wheezes to avoid paying their taxes.

    Vegetarians and Vegans

I also learned a new word “flexitaranian” and this is also absurd to ME as it simply describes an omnivore. You may have learned a new word, but not its meaning.

    Vegetarians and Vegans

And that's it is it? Not male and straight, male and gay or bi? Not British or Irish or even European when asked for your nationality? Not a Christian or Muslim male? Not a supporter of any football or rugby team? Not a drinker of beer or gin or wine? Not that there's anything wrong with just...

    Vegetarians and Vegans

Exactly. I wouldn't mind betting the majority of people - here and in the wider population (and I include myself) - if they saw how animals are reared and slaughtered in pursuit of profit for large corporations.

    Vegetarians and Vegans

There's nothing 'PC' about it. And surely, the bandwagon jumpers are the major food manufacturers who've realised they can make money from how people choose to eat. Why is it so wrong to identify with a certain group in society? I bet you do.

Berkow Throws in his Lot with Labour, inerestinger and interestinger- as Alice might have put it!

Mark Thomas made an excellent programme for Radio 4 years ago (It pops up on Radio 4 Extra occasionally) when the powers that be decided they didn't want the plebs demonstrating in Parliament Square, meaning you had to apply for a permit. At the time of broadcast he held the record for most...

Bass brewery when proper beer was made.

    Is that fact or opinion?

    Another Kegerator build

If the Fimo's no good you could try a product called Sugru. It's a bit like Blu-Tac that hardens. It comes in a variety of colours. I've used it for a couple of things and it's pretty good. I don't know how much it is (mine was in my Christmas stocking years ago), but I'd say worth a look at.

Bass brewery when proper beer was made.

Can someone explain what 'proper' beer is? I've never had one that was improper towards me. I, on the other hand may not have acted properly towards beer.

I'm going round in circles and need to decide once and for all.....

Anything more complicated than a second hand Baby Burco bolier with a hidden element, an immersion chiller and a £10 plastic fermentation bin will take up lots of your time and money and water cleaning.
