    Strawberry beer brew day

I've never really noticed much getting through, it's 300 microns according to the description. It took a couple of weeks from memory but arrived OK, no problems and didn't get squashed or anything.

    Build your own chiller

I used 10 metres of 10mm copper pipe that I got from Amazon for about £20 and wrapped it round a paint tin.

First home brewers meet up. The first meet up will be at The Bodega, somewhere hopefully central for most people to get to. The Bodega also has some decent beer, big tables and no music. From there we can see where is good for people to meet, maybe rotate it, Leo Bell from Newcastle Brewing is...

    Which Beaverdale?

I always use beaverdale kits when I'm making wine, I generally use their vieux chateau du roi, probably their best red but the Shiraz is spot on too.

Jim's Beer Kit forum has home brewer meet ups in Newcastle/Sunderland area. Not as regular as I would like but still good to catch up with fellow home brewers. Tyne bank brewery started doing home brewers meet up nights the first Thursday of every month but doesn't look like there's any coming...

    Regulator

The output thread is definitely 3/8, disconnects have a 1/4 thread and they are smaller than the output thread on regulators.

    Other uses for corny kegs

I was wondering what else is suitable to store in corny kegs, I am going to be making some cider so would corny kegs be OK for cider? Also could you store wine in them too?

    Regulator

This is the same regulator as I use, it's good for the price but the psi doesn't show the low levels very well, the ones that do are more expensive though. The male output screw thread is 3/8"
