    Verdant Light Bulb Recipe

From memory I started fermentation at 18 then raised to 21 after 3 days. Chucked loose pellets in for dry hop at 9 days and started chilling down to 2 at same time. Racked to keg at 14 days, think this pic was after 1 week in keg.

    Verdant Light Bulb Recipe

this has been my experience with flaked oats (including husk) from malt miller. Both times I used them I was way under on og. Took the oats out of the recipe in beer smith the actual og matched the predicted. I just tend to use jumbo oats from the supermarket now and don’t have a problem

    Verdant Light Bulb Recipe

What batch size are you using in your brewing software? The original recipe is 20l, my quantities are for a 25l batch the acid malt is for ph correction, if you are not treating your water I wouldn’t worry about it

    Lallemand Dry Conan Strain

Just tapped the keg and the beer is delicious. I brewed the same recipe using US05 but this is far better. It’s the Verdant lightbulb recipe posted in another thread so mainly hop flavours but seems much more rounded. I’m useless at picking out notes of ’insert exotic ingredient here’ to tell...

    Lallemand Dry Conan Strain

Left it another week and it's managed a few more points down to 1.013 so close enough. OG was bang on 1.045 and yeah I've do BIAB with recirculation and temp control so mash temp was on set point, might have to check my temp probe calibration. Cheers

    Lallemand Dry Conan Strain

Have you had any problems reaching target gravity with this yeast? I pitched 25g (2.5 packs) into 25L, beer smith predicting 1.011 FG. Pitched at 18 deg c and air lock was bubbling after 24 hours, raised temp up by 1 degree every 12 hours or so to 22 but it seems to be finishing at 1.016 after 6...

    Kveik

I’ve just brewed a smash using Voss for the first time and its also pretty tart. It is only 6 days since pitching tho and does seem to be fading a bit. Will give it a bit more time before kegging

    Gamma Ray Original

Yes it’s the ‘lupuloid’ recipe above. Was surprised at how hazy it is but guess it’s from the wheat, oats and dry hop Should move to new thread really!

Kegerator Build with under counter fridge

I've just put a kegerator together using a Hotpoint RLA34 I picked up on eBay. Plenty of room for two 19L kegs and a 7lb co2 bottle without any mods. Think the current model is RLA36 if you were looking for a new one. Rubbish pic but you get the idea!

    Gamma Ray Original

Yes I brewed this a couple of weeks ago, its in the keg at the moment, will be tapping it at the weekend, it tasted great out of the fermenter. I need to pick up a can of Lupuloid and see how close it is but from memory it tastes pretty similar. I ended up tweaking the recipe a bit, this what I...

    Gamma Ray Original

Think the recipe pre dates Heineken. I wouldn’t let that put you off, it’s a great APA. I was also wanting to try a Lupuloid clone but couldn’t find a recipe. Going to try this
