First lager under pressure - advice needed

I ferment W34/70 at 21c under 15 psi from the start pitching 1 pack into 21 litres of 1.047 wort. It’s normally finished after 4 or 5 days. Done 5 or 6 batches like this now and consistently get a very clean fermentation, I can’t pick out any off flavours. I have been letting the pressure rise...

Angram Beer Engines - a tear down guide?

Yeah exactly this, I’ve just done an Angram CO and it was really straightforward. I soaked everything in oxiclean and it came up good as new (ish) :) just watch out for the ball joint as the nut is galvanised and will corrode in oxi.

Has Anyone Noticed that the beer in a keg seems to evaporate?

ha ha this is the first thing people ask when they see the kegerator, I’ve never had one go off is the normal reply 😂

No worries, you have solved the problem, will place an order with one of my many silicone hose providers 😂 I’ve brasso’d the hell out of her today and must say having a beer engine surpasses all home brewing achievements to date

    Angram CO Tube

I need to replace the tube that connects the cylinder to the spout on an Angram CO beer engine. can anybody recommend the right tube? Think it’s 1/4” ID, I’ve tried braided PVC which is too firm and normal PVC and silicone which both kink. The original was some sort of thick walled tube but...

Help me choose a pressure fermenter

It has a date stamped on the side that says do not use after this date unless you pressure test it, or something to that effect

    Pressure fermenting

I usually want to free up the fermenter to brew again so not tried it! I have got a picnic tap and had a couple of samples straight from the fermenter which works ok

    Pressure fermenting

I’ve recently got into pressure fermenting as well. I’ve been brewing a basic Pilsner recipe with w34/70, fermenting at 21 deg c and applying 15 psi from the start. Once it gets to around 1.017 I set the spunding valve to 28 psi to carbonate to around 2.5 volumes. When fermentation is done (3-4...

Can You Leave Starsan in a Fermzilla?

https://www.kegland.com.au/media/pdf/FermZilla%20Instructions%20for%2027L%20and%2055Lv2.pdf bottom of page 10, says you can leave Stellarsan in til next fermentation which I presume is their version of starsan

My Fermzilla All Rounder has arrived!

if you haven’t done so already I found where mine was leaking from by pressuring it up and dunking in a bucket of water, bubbles show you where the leak is straight away.

BSP vs NPT fittings - which type to decide on?

Go for BSP as they are much easier to get hold of, I have had the odd NPT fitting but at 1/2 inch I have found them compatible, I’m not using them on anything pressurised but don’t have any leaks. Just use plenty of PTFE tape
