    Ferminator Launch at Geterbrewed

Did I read that there were additional cooling units for the modules, or will one unit be able to handle the extra capacity?

    Brewzilla boil off rate

Well the results are in... I started with 28L and ended up with about 24L Trying the immersion chiller now and is working really well. First time user and amazed at the heat transfer to the cold running water.

    Brewzilla boil off rate

I’ve recently took delivery of the Brewzilla 3.1.1 and will be attempting my first ever all grain brew tomorrow. I‘ve done many of the calculations for the water volumes, but was wondering what boil off rates people are achieving for this system. I’m in the process of doing a test run 90min...

    Ferminator Launch at Geterbrewed

Just measure the height of your unit and calculate the extra height required from the basic model. The basic is 531mm high internally and every module increases the height by 220mm, internal footprint dimensions are all the same from what I can see 436mm x 436mm

    Ferminator Launch at Geterbrewed

The basic ferminator is listed, what about the expansion modules cost? I have both a 30L All Rounder & 27L Fermzilla, interested also.

    AG Recipe kit

Cheers Clint 👍 I‘ve looked at all the water calculations, so I’m aware of all water losses. Now I know that batch size is what should be bottled, I can work back from there.

    AG Recipe kit

Only decided to get into Homebrewing since lockdown began. I’ve had moderate success with several kits but recently took the plunge and decided to have a go at all grain. I’ve study loads of posts and youtube videos so I’m ready to go for it. To make it easier, I opted for a recipe kit from a...

    Bottle Conditioning & Storage

Unfortunately my shed is wooden, so retains quite a high temp. As long as extended time at room temp and in darkness won’t affect the quality, the spare bedroom will have to suffice until ready for chilling and swigging

    Bottle Conditioning & Storage

The bottles, not my girls 😂

    Bottle Conditioning & Storage

Should not really over carb, reduced the sugar as the girls like a less fizzy cider, and they are back in the original box so dark and cosy

    Bottle Conditioning & Storage

During the last two weeks I have packaged off three cider brews in lots of amber pet bottles 500ml, I mostly use corny kegs, but these were for my daughters to sample. They are approaching the recommended 14 days in warm conditions. My question relates to how long can they be stored like this...

    Priming 5l Kegs vs bottles

2g - 3g per litre is what is recommended by the the kegs that I bought as a mini keg starter kit.

    ****Fermentasaurus Mega Giveaway****

Fermentasaurus Snub nose 👍 Already own a Fermzilla so using the Snub Nose would simplify the FV cleansing process, less parts to dismantle .

    Bottling time this evening...

Can they be cleaned then sanitised and sealed back up ready for bottling even if it’s a few days away, or do you need to it just before bottling.

    Another Fermentation question

Was talking about water or wort temp when checking the hydrometer.

    Another Fermentation question

Yep, but a very low psi, wanted to keep the system closed but enough to enable samples to be drawn off without having to open the lid of the Fermzilla.

    Another Fermentation question

Must be a dodgy hydrometer, just took another two samples, and both were within specified range. Strange.
