    Highly attenuating saison yeast

What flavours do you get from it? According to the Lallemand site, it won't deliver the profile I'm looking for.

    Highly attenuating saison yeast

I initially wanted to use Lallemand's Belle Saison, however I learn that it's a diastatic strain which I would rather not use (I eventually want to be able to brew the recipe at the brewery I work at on the pilot kit: no diastatic allowed!) But I want a strain that will be highly attenuating...

    Kegland Brewzilla 3.1.1

You're entitled to that opinion, however I didn't have a proper job earning decent wages. All I could get was ****** warehouse work and the company I was in was giving indications of restructuring. It was also miserable, working with flagrant racists in awful working conditions. I am only...

    Phenolic English strains?

Sorry I thought I had two replied already. I actually had to Google about yeast culture slopes as didn't know they existed and so had no idea what they were! I will look into these, thank you.

    Kegland Brewzilla 3.1.1

Sorry I didn't see the message before it was too late. There was nothing to send it in as the box had been water damaged and disposed of.

    Kegland Brewzilla 3.1.1

I look forward to it! Hope you like the bitter.

    Kegland Brewzilla 3.1.1

I understand some may be hesitant, but if people bid on it on eBay before any sale on here, then I am required to sell it to them or face fines from eBay. I would have to remove the listing from eBay altogether.

    Kegland Brewzilla 3.1.1

Unfortunately, thanks to life being expensive and my brewery apprenticeship being minimum wage, I'm struggling to pay off my already existing credit card, which means I can't build up any emergency savings let alone actually have any fun.. So I'm selling my Brewzilla 3.1.1 just three months...

    The Dummies' Guide to Brewzilla

*sigh* Unfortunately, due to living costs (minimum wage brewery apprenticeship) I've had to put my brewzilla up for sale just three months after buying it. It sucks but I gotta clear that debt first, and the interest is making it worse.

    Phenolic English strains?

Great, thank you! If I get a can of their Saison d'Avon, might it be present in this? Funny you mention them, I live ten minutes walk from them and used to houseshare (still in good contact) with a guy who works there.

    Phenolic English strains?

Are there any English yeast strains that are highly phenolic, like how Belgian strains are? (as in, pleasant or desirable phenolics, not necessarily identical in aroma and flavour)? Or could I try experimenting by pushing some regular yeasts to the warm end of fermentation in the hope they...

    Brewing software

Thank you! As I don't use that much adjunct, it may just be a bridge I cross should I get there. Whilst I have you here, I have another question with Brewfather. In the inventory, you have the option of adding pricing... however how do I see how much this brew will cost me in materials at the...

    Brewing software

I know this was a little while back, but when entering a new malt into the inventory, can anyone explain how I figure out what to put for diastatic power, ie degrees Lintner? I use Crisp and the data sheet for, say, clear choice pale malt looks like this: PARAMETER IoB EBC...

Home Brew Beer - Cornish Tin Miner's Ale

I know that there won't be any singular "Cornish Tin Miner's Ale" just like there isn't a single beer drunk by all the ferrymen of London in the 18th century called "porter"... however if I was to create *a* beer that might be recognised historically, where might I find such recipes? The exact...

Home Brew Beer - Cornish Tin Miner's Ale

Every recipe I've plugged into Brewfather I've had to adjust, not just for hops (fair, you can't know the aa% of every variety every year in one book) but also the malts, I'm not sure what he based their potential on. I also had to add a crystal malt to a light lager because it was going to be...

Home Brew Beer - Cornish Tin Miner's Ale

Home Brew Beer by Greg Hughes is currently my first and only recipe book, I will get others in time but I want to work through this one first. This one, the Cornish Tin Miner's Ale calls for Pale Malt, Caramunich, Biscuit and Medium crystal (which I've calculated equates to Crisp's crystal 240...

Wine finings, still dross in suspension

I used a hand drill attachment on full power multiple times over the course of a few hours, I don't think there is any gas left in it. There aren't any bubbles, but there are bits just floating on top, presumably water tension is keeping them in place?
