    Sediment

Generally I get a clear beer with careful pouring. Sometimes it will be hazy - I call that "naturally hazy" if anyone asks. No adverse impacts (bowels or otherwise). Mixing it up for wheat beer is quite popular in Germany.

    WW3

Do you think putin ever thinks about his own demise (aka death)? Will it be "peaceful" whilst snoozing in his bed in the Kremlin or one of his palaces, or will one of his confidants despatch him in good old soviet fashion? As for Ukraine, the Ukrainian people, I suspect it will be the west who...

    Bottles.

And treat your bottles well - they can last for decades. I still got some Boots brand pint bottles from about 30 years ago. And if you go by car to Germany buy some crates of beer, even with the deposit it's still good value, though most beer is sold in capped bottles.

Commercial Swing-tops vs Homebrew seller Supplied

Bottle primer. Can't say I ever noticed a difference. I only ever bought one case of swing-tops, years ago from B&M, never had any issue from them, they were labeled as beer bottles. I have lots of brewery filled bottles, most bought in Germany. Again no issues ever. I do change the seals where...

    Reusing Biere D’or bottles

Over the years I have adjusted my choice of bottle to make using the bench capper more efficient. Most of my capped bottles are now the German style 1/2 litre which are more or less the same height. Still have a variety of other size bottles but I sort them by size before capping. My favourites...

    Reusing Biere D’or bottles

I remember this happening to me many years ago, 2-lever capper and Hobgoblin bottle. Generally I found that capper to be a bit temperamental and needing some adjustment. Eventually I got a bench capper which is much easier to use and reliable. And never bought or used Hobgoblin bottles again! I...

    Help Please?

Have you taken a sample and smelled/tasted? Best to give details of the recipe or kit you were using. In my experience of doing many kits and recipes it's quite difficult to get it wrong if you follow the instructions and/or recipe.

    Typical Brew Day?

This is the "Brewdays" section so right place - you are a bit early in the day. I have done a few AG brews - it all depends how organised you are and if there are no issues/accidents. I generally made sure there would be no distraction, reserve the kitchen for all morning. Haven't done full...

Who would be the best manager for England?

Why don't we look on the bright side, there's a new competent guy in the job, let him get on with the job, without his every word, move and decision being analysed to death. What counts in the end is can the team complete the last mile when it matters most.
