Brew monk eu to uk adapter?

You could cut off and fit UK plug but you may lose any g,tee on the brew monk or use a suitable adapter. Also I would plug direct into a wall socket avoid any kind of extension lead and to start with at least run at 1 notch below max to get it back under 2990 watt. Also I would not leave...

Brew monk eu to uk adapter?

According to this page your brewmonk at 3000 watt is 10 watt over the UK max on a 13 amp socket which is 2990 watt, https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/feature/digital-home/what-is-limit-of-13a-socket-3663653/ Mark

Brew monk eu to uk adapter?

You may find that is what the plug is rated at not the device. This type of adapter is for higher amp EU stuff and even has a earth connection not found on lower amp kit. Does your device come with the round or flat EU plug ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/332813745959 Mark

    Just wondering about Yeast ?

Interesting stuff, massive difference in scale and a even more massive difference in price. Like I said in the original post I think brewing yeast is worth the cost due to the end product we end up with. Now I was just wondering about the cost of brewing sodium percarbonate, verses the cost of...

    Favourite can kits?

If you like Belgian ales, both the Muntons and the Festival kits are really good. I've found that by the time you pump up the cheaper kits the cost difference from the premium kits is very small. I have also found the bulldog brews , Hammer of Thor , Evil Dog and Bad Cat kits to be very good...

Shop bought beer in a Swing top bottle

My favourite is Starling which also gives me unlimited fee free ATM withdrawals world wide that are also at MasterCard exchange rate, but even Revolut at a weekend is cheaper than PayPal's inflated rate. Starling also gives me instant notification on my phone of how much I've spent in both GBP...

    Just wondering about Yeast ?

That makes sense, as far as I know with baker's yeast you can choose a brand but not a strain.

Could be Steve, the difference seems excessive, but who knows !

    Just wondering about Yeast ?

Isn't reusing yeast what the yeast sellers also do ? I can understand some economies of scale but bread yeast works out about 12p for 10g compared to around £3 or more for 10g of beer /ale yeast.

    Just wondering about Yeast ?

Presuming that the costs for growing , storage , packaging , distribution, etc are similar if not identical and bread and beer are manufactured is massive quantities daily does anyone have any idea why I can buy 125g of bread yeast for £1 yet 10g of beer yeast costs at least treble that ? I...

Shop bought beer in a Swing top bottle

Hi Rocketman, Thanks for the full answer, quite a deal, are the bottles 330ml or 500ml ? One idea I have is if you (or anyone else) have a Starling or Revolut account and card you can pay in Euros at MasterCard trans bank rate ( best rate way better than PayPal) with no fees, I use mine abroad...

Wanted: Saison yeast near south London

Well bloody hell ! Two weeks later and I've opened up the Muntons Belgian Ale as its my beer in rotation and it is brilliant, if I was served this elsewhere there is no way I would know it is home brew from a kit. I would be proud to serve this to my family, it's gone straight up to the top...

    Sodium percarbonate..

In the wilkos the Wilko branded bruclens sodium percarbonate made by or supplied by Muntons is 30% the same as many laundry products. But for some reason is much more expensive than the wilkos (&many other brands) sodium percarbonate laundry product. Mark
