    Pre 95 Boddingtons anyone ?

Growing up in Manchester in the 70s/80s Boddies was the most beautiful beer that i can remember, creamy, easy drinking, wonderful stuff, i've tried it maybe twice since the old strangeways brewery closed in 95, and its total *****. Has anyone managed to emulate the old Boddies ? I was told the...

    Gozdawa Expert Baltic Porter opinions?

Seen a few partridge bro reviews on Gozdawa kit's. They end up tipping them down the sink, don't think I'll bother. 😆

    Cross my loof yeast

Only use CML yeasts now. I've always found the Ale yeast to be a bit of a slow starter, but always had good results. Use the California Common a lot, great yeast. 🍺

    Transfering from pb to pb.

Just pulled 1st pint, a bit hazy, it's cleared a little from yesterday when we arrived. Think it'll take a few days to clear completely. It's a nice bitter style beer with Marris, Cara, Dextrin malts, with a generous amount of Goldings.

    Transfering from pb to pb.

I plan on keeping the beer for a week in the caravan barrel. Bottling is out of the question as I don't wanna re start the yeast by re priming. The idea is to get clear, nicely conditioned beer into the keg ready for consumption.

    Transfering from pb to pb.

Yeah that was my only reservation. I'll de pressurise the KK very slowly.

    Transfering from pb to pb.

The plan was to Syphon about 15 PTS into the smaller PB, so about half full. Leaving about 15 PTS in the KK. It'll be interesting to see how it goes. athumb..

    Transfering from pb to pb.

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't wanna take the original PB as it's a bit bulky ( it's a king keg) I'm transferring the beer to a smaller capacity PB, and I don't wanna stir the secondary fermentation yeast up, so trying to get it off the yeast. Throwing the KK in the back of the car for a 2...

    Transfering from pb to pb.

I do understand what you're saying, but by adding priming sugar your starting the yeast, I was trying to get away from that, as the beer I want to transfer is crystal clear, and well conditioned.

    Transfering from pb to pb.

I've done the bottle thing, but not added priming sugar, just squeezed the bottle to purge the oxygen. That works, but the beer is a bit lifeless.

    Transfering from pb to pb.

Dont know if anybody has tried this but here we go. I have a touring caravan, and want to take some of my beer with me, i have tried the mini keg thing, and didnt have much success tasted tinny. What i was going to try was transfering some beer thats conditioned into another pb, then CO2 flush...

    Guns

I used to shoot .22 rimfire target rifles to a reasonable standard, won a few trophies back in the day. Surrendered my firearms certificate after the dunblane massacre. I got a bit paranoid about keeping a couple of BSA Martini's, and ammo in the house.

    Floods.

River's silted up, drains blocked. We're gonna get flooded. I remember it Raining like this when I was a kid, and no flooding. Some grids in our town are blocked solid upto the top...

Switching from dry yeast to liquid yeast

Yeah rehydrate, and you've got liquid yeast. And a lot cheaper. I've had brews start within 4 hours of going in the fermenting fridge...
