    Hi all , I have a recipe i fancy having a crack at , it calls for 1/2 lb sultanas per gallon. Looking around and they all seem to have an oil coating. Any advice/tips on how to deal with this or a source of non oiled ones , even the organic ones seem to be coated.

    The metal tube thingy I'm thinking could be a thermometer shield given the end unscrews. The rubber seals where would I get similar they were on the top of the 2 fermentation bins Cheers

    My shed is a 8x6 painted black and sheltered on 2 sides , kept other liquids in their in past and being in Devon by coast it's rare we go below zero , even then I think it's stayed above in shed , will look into some insulation to help minimise temp swings , let us know how it goes , cheers
