    Covid-19 the second wave.

Its not looking good for England now. It seems to have started in north Kent where cases were rising throughout lockdown 2 (when the rest of the country had cases dropping massively almost universally) then roughly going to the tiers cases started rising into mid Kent then quickly to all of...

Would you still vote for Brexit?

I can see both sides of this and as I said I don't really know enough about it. I can see that it doesn't make sense for every EU country to have different rules on hover power and its against free trade if different goods are allowed in different countries but then what if there made for...

Would you still vote for Brexit?

Thanks for the reply I never knew about your 1st 2 points as for the others: "In defence of the Euro arguably Greece and potentially Italy should not have being allowed to join. But one big advantage is it removes exchange rate volatility within the block." Which is also its problem "Amazon...

Would you still vote for Brexit?

These things don't get mentioned much around brexit and I admit I don't know much about them and could be getting this all wrong but the way I see it is. It all started as just a free trade agreement and was a good thing for all when it got beyond that it never seemed try try and tackle the...

    Covid-19 the second wave.

I don't think its likely for pubs, the grants I have got roughly cover the rent and lost beer for times I have been closed and employee furlough. If I had been trading for an extra 3 years I would be able to get another 80% of 6 months earnings and 60% of another 3 months (from the self...

Would you still vote for Brexit?

Most of the benefit will come from having our own currency so irrelevant to brexit, but we can choose to take an approach thats best for us without having things vetoed, we can choose where to take advantage of cheaper goods from the rest of the world and where to protect our industries but I...

Would you still vote for Brexit?

I didn't vote before but would vote for brexit now. I don't see it going well but think we are in a better position to recover from the Covid crisis outside the EU.

Has anyone else just had enough?

Cheers. Tenerife is alot like Lanzarote a bit less wind on the tourist side due to the volcano blocking it, it did have some much nicer beaches with golden sand imported from the sahara but now its more like builders grade sand. You say when you 1st got covid have you had it again? I got a...

2004 Skoda Fabia VRS 1.9 130bhp Diesel vs 2016 Ford Fiesta 1.0 ecoboost 123bhp petrol

Forgot to mention I have worked out the fiesta has to be driven almost exactly a gear lower. I liked to red of the skoda that made it faster but the nasty pastel green on the fiesta will stop it getting stolen. I see the motorised mirrors going in and out when you lock and unlock the fiesta as...

2004 Skoda Fabia VRS 1.9 130bhp Diesel vs 2016 Ford Fiesta 1.0 ecoboost 123bhp petrol

Small update, the fiesta is alright its slightly smoother on both good and bad roads, I get less of a feel on how much grip I have but since I don't drive like a nutter thats unimportant. I tried to use the radio and failed so will have to try when not driving. The clutch is heavier than the...

Has anyone else just had enough?

Very good answer. Its sort of is why the bullion hop has been around since the late 30s and for most of the time only used for bittering mainly in dark beers but only recently been found to make very good pales when used as a flavour hop.

Has anyone else just had enough?

I have certainly had enough, I wasted lockdown 1 there was loads of stuff I should have got done but spent it drinking and getting depressed. Loved opening on July 4th and at least when I was working thinks felt back to normal for a while. Going in to lockdown 2 I was happy enough I could use...

    The Political Compass

Looks like I have shifted from last time I think there is an error in how it calculates moral questions as just because I think something is bad it doesn't mean I want to force that view on others so I think I am less authoritarian than this suggests.

Ban on new petrol and diesel cars in UK from 2030 under PM's green plan

Just an idea that could help. In roads where there is no off street parking anyone that can fit 2 spaces outside there house can pay for a charging point to be put into 1 of them and they get the second as there dedicated space, then via an app the public can use the charging point and you get...

    Covid-19 the second wave.

We do seem to be all in for a vaccine ignoring anything that could be used as a preventative or treatment.

Ban on new petrol and diesel cars in UK from 2030 under PM's green plan

Broad band is as good as it needs to be in most areas and freight rail has nothing to do with the discussion.
