Not very old about 18 months at most - I think I will strip everything down before the next one and go from there. I did for the last one I did and that's fine so maybe I did miss something. Thanks for all the replies.

Ok thanks for that. It's a puzzler perhaps wild yeast then somehow. The good part is it was a smaller batch than I usually do so got less than half a barrel in it.

Yep I've always used Chemclean on the FV and barrel - quite conscious of rinsing afterwards but maybe I missed a bit then?

Same here. I know they say don't fear the foam etc but I like to rinse anyway and haven't had an issue as yet.

Nice looking plant. Got mine in the freezer now had a chap redoing the patio and nearly had to break my legs to get at them but all done now.

I use the 8g little c02 bulbs with my pressure barrels and wilko are out of stock of even those at the moment. I just ordered 2 packs of different ones so should be ok for a good while. If not I have over 100 bottles tucked away to go back to just using sugar if needs be. I will not be denied...
