Is that the recipe from the Brewdog book? I made that a couple of years ago and it turned out great, but I always leave my beers to condition for at least a couple of weeks, and they do always improve after that in my experience.

I have an Aldi one, it works great and sometimes I reseal. The only problem is that if a speck of hop gets in the wrong place it can compromise the seal.

I want to get hold of some iodine for testing my mash. Most searches give food supplements from so-called naturopathic (fake medicine) supplies. I found this page Iodine Test for Starch which says that what we need is called Tincture of Iodine (or Iodine Tincture) and that it's hard to find...

I would add my vote for the GF fermenter which is working really well for me. I use a beer line chiller repurposed as a cooler, with the Grainfather cooling pump kit. It works fine with plain water rather than glycol.

Handed over my bottle (suitably packed!) to the postie this morning. Hopefully it will be there in a few days, intact.

Well I placed an order on Tuesday at 4pm and received it today less than 48 hours later via Evri. I know Evri get a lot of stick, no doubt justified on some occasions, but service was great this time.

They talk about the yeast in the Ghost Ship video, and in the MM end of year video on YT they said that apparently we are all under-pitching S04. I think have never had a problem using only one pack though!

I re-use Mr. Muscle kitchen cleaner bottles. The mechanism can wear out but there is a plentiful supply.
