    Bar pump help

G’Day Craig, not exactly but I have had a few similar Micromatic fonts apart to check the lamp voltage and they can be fiddly. Rule #1 Dont get rough with it. You will have to take it off the bar and check for screws etc under the bottom plate etc, I’m guessing you may have to disassemble the...

    Leaving StarSan/ChemSan in a corny?

Starsan will attack certain 'synthetic rubbers' if left soaking for too long, others it has no effect. I think silicon hose is one of them but slowly! It will dissolve certain rubber gloves in a week, I was shocked....

    How much yeast to use?

G’Day Shaun, my short answer is no, I always over-pitch by a factor of 2,3,&4 depending on the wort type and Og but you get to a point where you’re just wasting money. I have read there is a reason not to over-pitch?? but my taste buds say otherwise. Now under-pitching is another can of worms...

    County lines drug dealing

Did you see how much cocaine was hoovered up the other day by a 30 countries operation? 160 tonnes!! I dont know what scares me more; the fact that much coke has a ready market or the level of government / police / customs corruption that could (does) buy!! Tried to work out how much it was...

Cleaning beer lines with a drill powered pump

Despite the loss of C02 I’m more comfortable having C02 in my lines and kegs when they are left empty. I think having damp air left in them would significantly increase the risk of contamination despite the fact they (kegs) will get rinsed in starsan prior to reuse. my2c, Cheers…

Carb drops question. Help a newbie out

G’day Brewski, after many years I still use carb drops! mainly for convenience, 2 drops should be perfect for a well carbonated 500ml beer, I do find they can be difficult to dissolve. I will always take my pets’ and give them a good shake once per days for 3 days, if you dont you can see the...
