    Fermenting in cold garage

Can if you want, go for it. You will probably find that the majority of people like me just leave the door open a crack 👍

    Fermenting in cold garage

Remember that when you are not fermenting a fridge can be turned off and used as a cupboard to store your fermenter and brewing gear 😉

    Dehumidifiers

We had a compressor dehumidifier for years but this year bought a Meaco DD8l Zambezi desiccant and the difference is night and day. They are more expensive to run than a compressor but you don't need it on as long to make a difference

    Electric cars.

Earlier on you made out that you needed to be able to tow 3 tons, now it is many of your neighbours 🤦 if you don't want one then it is fair enough, you don't need to make excuses up. Which ties in nicely with my point about people going out of thier way to try and convince everyone that EVs...

    Electric cars.

Looks like I got my maths wrong so I might as well own up before others pick up on it 🤦😬😂

    Electric cars.

Come on now, we all drive around and I definitely don't see more than 1 out of 1000 cars towing a digger 😂 I get that an EV is not going to suit everyone but there does appear to be some people that try to find reasons why they can't suit

Brewzilla Gen 4 advice and experiences

I wouldn't say so, the heat exchanger goes under the false bottom which has a tighter fit to the sides of the Brewzilla, any hops that manage to make it through the false bottom will also make it through the heat exchanger

    Fermenting in cold garage

I now have an old fridge that I use as a fermentation fridge which I would recommend if fermenting in the garage is going to be a permanent thing but before that I successfully used a water bath with aquarium heaters in an un-insulated garage so you may get away with not changing your old process

Every day is a school day, I have been brewing years and never realised this 😬

I have 4 cats in total, Bagheera is my Maine **** (having a sleep on my wife) and Polly is in the background

    Four Priests Brewery YouTube channel

Anything with 'whacking' and 'full nut leverage' in the same sentence sounds painful 😬

    Help please fermzilla all-rounder

You mention that you have a floating dip tube, is the end fully submerged? I have seen cases where the dip tube is poking up above the wort

    Corny Keg

For me it is 'the same pressure' that is the issue, I have never been able to get it right with burst carbing and used to end up going over. I have 2 taps so I just drink the other beer while I wait for the new one to carb, which is generally fine after a week 👍

    Brewzilla pump plumbing bypass

On my first brew with my gen 4 to pump blocked a couple of times (new to the system and didn't have the bottom plate on the grain basket correctly 🤦) but a blow down the pipe sorted it each time. Re-plumbed the pipework but have not had a problem since

    Ignore, can't delete

I think we should be safe to start talking about it in the new year but until the keep ignoring it?

    Sparge over flow

I have struggled in the past with my AIO (Brewzilla Gen 4) but I saw some advice on here a few weeks ago about leaving the mash for 10 minutes before starting the pump. I tried that on my last brew and it definitely helped but I can't remember if I had my pump running at full speed, I also throw...

Water prepping before all grain brew advice needed please

Some very detailed advice above (Which I wish I could fully understand 😂) but seems to have skipped over a basic point, don't forget to also add a campden tablet to remove the chlorine from your tap water

    Car sales.

I usually do that but this year my renewal was 50% higher than last year and everything on comparison sites were even more. The cheapest of which being my current insurer (LV) but with a higher quote than my renewal!

Help my fridge keep it's cool!

This is on a standard fridge, not one that has been modified. It's in my mum's caravan and I had forgotten about it until we stayed there for a couple of days over the weekend

Help my fridge keep it's cool!

Although uncommon I have seen 1 fridge where the light does not come on unless the fridge is cooling, that also had a digital thermostat similar to the ops
