    Creamy head

Bittering hops????? Good processes and recipe where you improve your grist to match your water profile and mineral additions. Essentially there is no quick fix. Your in it for the long haul. Come to peace sign with it and enjoy the journey.

The Hop Addition x Unity Competition

As long as I get a YCH cap @Dudes Brews I am happy. Seriously happy with the result and @dan125 and @dave_77 and @Leon103 can comment on the beer as they got a bottle of that beer sent to them as well. Well done to everyone that entered.

It’s not that good at all really. It’s better than nothing but it feels like getting 5p in the pound back tho.

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

I’ve been away with work in Croatia for the last week so I’ve been lucky enough to delve into the craft beer scene here in Zagreb. And at £1.60 a pint for a hoppy NE IPA it’s been dangerous to say the least. But I can confirm there is a healthy craft beer scene here 👍🏻

Name for a New Pilot Nanobrewery?

Have you done any swaps on the forum? I would recommend to maybe get some forum members swap feedback or maybe enter a few comps to gauge where you are at with your beers before going trying to sell your beers. Remember. People have to be happy to spend their own money on your beer for them to...

    Hazelwoods Beer Improvement Project

Surely it’s better to just reduce/avoid all o2 pickup thus removing the need for strategies to slow the affects of o2?

    Hazelwoods Beer Improvement Project

O2 exposure and pickup should be a prime consideration for any beer you make.

    Hazelwoods Beer Improvement Project

As a guide this is the highest score I’ve ever got for a beer from a qualified bjcp judge and it is for a beer (sent out in the Santa swap) that I’ve been improving over the last 5 years. do not under estimate how hard it is to score north of 40 points.

    Hazelwoods Beer Improvement Project

Any brewery that does their upmost to produce the highest quality beers with the best shelf life through attaining the lowest TPO (total packaging oxygen) pickup through the packaging process. One of the biggest single things that can massively improve your beer is reduction of oxygen exposure.

    Secret Santa Review Thread 2021!

This was my second SS beer. After the first I was apprehensive if I’m honest. Thankfully this one’s not bad at all. A Good carb in the beer from bottle conditioning. Thankfully it was a big bottle so dumping the last bit in the bottom of the bottle to dregs was fine and I was still left with a...

    Secret Santa Review Thread 2021!

I actually tried this one a few days ago. Hey I got impatient 🤷🏻‍♂️ Sadly it was so badly infected it went straight down the drain. Feedback for whoever’s beer this is you need to look at your fermentation and bottling hygiene to stop this happening again. I would bet that your whole batch is...
