If I’m honest I think focal banger is the better beer to me imho. I left the brewery tour behind and spent 30 mins chatting with the head brewer. Much more enjoyable and interesting in what they do there. The attention to detail I next level.

Starting my afternoon off in Vermont with this amazing can of fresh beer before my tour of the brewery in which it was made. Awesome.

Grabbed some beers from the supermarket across the road from my hotel about an hour out of Montreal. Waiting for the rain to stop before I hit the first microbrewery tap. 3.8% session IPA. Pretty good.

Really nice and dry and snappy and pilsner like with a Belgian character.

It’s a blend of dry yeasts 50/50 and then fermented right in the middle of the min/max temp for both yeasts at 13oC.

I’m not surprised. It takes anything ages to get onto the island. Especially on that plane.

Go self build. Don’t mess around with a keezer (freezer) conversion. Just get a good larder fridge that will take 3 or more kegs at once and buy the bit from BKT or TMM and away you go.

Depends how far you think it falls out by. If it’s an IBU or two over and a few SRM I’m not going to split hairs. Like I said, judging will be based on a table basis and the “best” beer wins.

Defo. What makes it super special is that it wasn’t a style comp. It was purely down to the most delicious beer winning. And with the brewer who has such high standards as Jimmy to pick out is saying something.
